Looks like you played pretty solid. No matter how well you play you still need to hit some flops. You should still be pumped that you got to play in the main, it's gotta be an incredible feeling.

You can't win the main without hitting some boards. I'm super jealous that you got to play the event as I'd be willing to bet most of your backers (myself included) won't ever get to experience the rush.

It happens to the best of us. When we play outside our bankroll, it hurts so much more. Keep trying to win cash with your free room until the 15th. Dust off the resume when you get home and try to play poker on the side, as a part-time job. Now that you have experience getting to the main, you will be that much better next year. Best of Luck.

REgarding the raise to 7k with AA thats a funny one because in a cash game you have your set strategy with it......ironic?

anyway if it was me, im going to min raise it there, put in a 5000 and then be told that i need to raise the extra 800 and look like a NOOB and a donk and ask if thats right and generally look as fishy as i can...

theres a fine line between getting caught acting and selling the act
you want to seem pissed that they take the 800 mpore from you but since you already said raise,,,,,,,,

then you are set up for your "LOL SCAME" moment......
remember the tightness of the set over set play
thats day one in a nutshell

gus hansen and dwan blinded out and still have 17k left in their stacks

its nitty as a shiite........ i like your QQ fold

anyway, i wrote something that seemed incomprehensible to the one person who commented on it in the PGC forum

did i write with too much jargon? did i assume a familiarity with the bulls thread that isnt out there???

please feel free to flame this thread but help me write gooder if it is seriously poorly written

thanks in advance for the consrtuctive critiscism!

The Morning After

It's been twelve hours since I shipped "All In" with pocket eights and the more and more I think about the hand...

The more I feel I let you all down.

I wasn't just playing for the money...

I was playing more for the fun, the story, the quest for "The People's Bracelet"...and the opportunity share the money and the bracelet with you all.

Even the people who originally staked me who didn't stake me for "The Main Event" would have got the bracelet mailed to them for a few days each year.

I think it's great that in a world where people often say...

"You can't trust anybody these days."

or

"Believe nothing of what you hear and only half of what you see."

You all found it in your hearts to trust me, stake me, and believed that if I was able to make something magical happen... that you'd all be rewarded.

Although the 2013 World Series Of Poker is surely filled with many interesting stories, I do believe ours would have been the best...

Sure, I might be the one writing it and playing in the event....but you're all the ones who used your hard earned money to..."Buy the ticket and take the ride" with me.

As captain of the bus, I feel like I smashed it into the god-damn wall.

I feel much like "Master Bruce" after he failed to save Gotham...

I am sorry, I have failed you.

I am not ready to give up yet, though.

I still feel there's more to this story that has to be written....

So, I decided I am going start all over again and work my way back to the top.

Although this years quest for "The People's Bracelet" is over, the quest for "The People's Ring" is about to begin....

The World Series Of Poker Circuit Events are on the horizon and as soon as I feel I've "picked myself back up"....

I'll be sure to enter some of them.

I've included all of those who showed faith in me and when yours truly wins his first ring or bracelet it will be shared with all of you...

For if it wasn't, I'd feel as bad as I do whenever I think about every birthday card I've threw away.

Thanks for your support.

-Justin

I want anyone from this forum who goes deep into The Main Event to wear the "The Apollo Creed" robe....

I am no longer deserving of it.

I want to pass it on until I feel worthy of reclaiming it.

I'll be out here until July 16th, staying at Bally's...

Please contact me if you'd like to wear it for "The People."

You must be an ambassador for fun and one who does not berate fish or yell at people.

A herd of "Bulls" is better than one.

Serious offer.

Yo dude, don't be ashamed at all. Admittedly, coming into the main I was a bit apprehensive since some of your venetian hands were a bit questionable. Your sizings/lines in these hands looked really solid. The whole experience was a great sweat and certainly worth the investment.

You can thank Galen Hall, Matt Flynn, Rob Coventry, Aesah, and DGIHarris for that.

In just five tournaments, I already feel like I am twice as good a player.

The dealer replied, "Yes." Then got back to dealing at a furious pace while flipping the cards to each poker player with pinpoint accuracy.

Tom looked at the floor man and said, "Is that good enough for you?"

As the floor man walked off back to his desk I asked Tom if I could buy him a drink at the bar. He said, "No, but I'll buy you one, lets go have a talk."

I found out Tom was a business man from Minnesota and had plans to play The World Series Of Poker Event #29. I also found out he places so much action here in Las Vegas that he could practically live in any hotel for free.
99% sure I played with this character in a $600 HORSE event at Venetian. He was loud and obnoxious and got in a fight with an old lady at our table, and both were warned. During a break, the floorman instructed our dealer to let him know if he said anything directed at any player at all during his down. Very obnoxious character.

And by business man, he claimed to be a bookie and was sweating the NHL finals cause everyone in his part of the world bet on the Blackhawks.

On another note, I am a local at Casino AZ and am looking forward to your visit!

First of all, put me down for another .5% for 2014.

Secondly, you have to take some chances in tournaments. The worst thing to do is 'blind away' and play super nitty. Seems like your table draw was definately on the more desirable side with a few weaker players and no discernible professionals.

I'm basically a cash game player, so I will not offer my .02 on how to play those hands better. However, it didn't seem you made any mistakes.

My only suggestion is to start grinding as many live tournaments as you can and just continue to get better and amass more experience. I hope you are still coming to Parx because they have a lot of ones in the range of $100-200 every week.

I know you have what it takes to cash big, because you've proven you can win at low stake cash games.

Good Game, Bull

So much this.

Rocky didn't even want to win, he wanted to go the distance, cuz nobody ever went the distance with Apollo Creed before.

LG, you played the main event, and you went your distance and will continue to go the distance.

George Zimmerman

"Creepy Ass Cracker"....

Those were the words Travon Martin used to describe George Zimmerman.

The Hispanic man that was following him in an SUV at 7:19pm on a Sunday night when he was walking home to his families house with plans to watch a basketball game.

Travon has just visited the local 7-11 where he paid cash for some skittles and some sort of iced tea. He probably decided to walk to there alone because like all youths who are staying with parents or family, he wanted to have a private conversation with the girl he was dating.

So, he figured he'd get himself out of the house, talk to his girl, and get some candy.

Unfortunately, for Travon...

George Zimmerman, the man he described as a "Creepy Ass Cracker" was on his way to the local Target and took it upon himself to profile Travon as a criminal.

The only evidence Zimmerman had to determine whether or not Travon was a criminal was his appearance.

So, the fact that he was a young black male walking around the neighborhood in a hoodie at 7:19pm on a Sunday night was obviously enough for Zimmerman to decide that this kid was guilty of suspicious behavior and contact the police department.

When Zimmerman spoke to the non-emergency 911 operator he said something along the lines of, "These young fukking punks always get away."

Zimmerman was then assured that the police were on their way and advised not to pursue the youth he had profiled as a would be criminal.

So, like any reasonable person would do, he continued to follow the youth in his SUV.

Zimmerman later went on to testify that even though he was willingly following Trayvon, he was scared the entire time. Eventually saying that Trayvon "circled" his vehicle...and that's when the fear really set in.

So, like any reasonable person would do, he now got out of the vehicle.

After he got out of the vehicle...

Somehow/someway a confrontation between this 204lb 28 year old man armed with a semi-automatic weapon who had undertook weeks of MMA training and a 154lb 17 year old youth ensued.

Zimmerman said Trayvon threw the first punch, a left hook..(even though Trayvon was right handed) and this punch packed such power it knocked him silly.

After this, the two went to the ground where the confrontation continued. Despite the 28 year old males extensive MMA training, the 17 year old youth was able to land 25 consecutive punches to Zimmerman's face. After that, the youth was able to effectively slam the back of the adult's head a countless amount of times into the cement effectively knocking Zimmerman in and out of consciousness he testified. Furthermore, the youth was able to smother Zimmerman's mouth and pinch his nose, all while reaching for Zimmerman's gun.

At this point, even though the youth had full mount and Zimmerman was in/out of consciousness, Zimmerman testifies he was able to pull out his gun and place a perfect shot into the heart of Trayvon Martin.

Lets assume for a minute that this version of the event could be true....

1)Why was none of Trayvon's DNA or fingerprints found on Zimmerman's gun?
2)Why was none of Zimmerman's blood found on Trayvon's hands?
3)Why was none of Zimmerman's skin, blood, dna, found under Trayvon's fingernails?
4)Why were none of Trayvon's knuckles swollen/no bruises on his hands?
5)Why wasn't George's face more busted up/black+blue? 25 unanswered blows is a lot.
6)Why were there no big cuts/lacerations/etc on the back of Zimmerman's head?

(Evidence shows biggest cut was a centimeter, which shows a struggle was more likely, not a full out head bashing into the cement.)

Anyway, I digress...

It's clear to see that I believe Zimmerman isn't being truthful about the course of events that lead him to fearing for his life/shooting Trayvon Martin.

In fact, I don't believe there's any way a grown man who outweighs a 17 year old youth by 50lbs could ever be in fear for his life when the grown man knows....

THE POLICE ARE ON THEIR WAY.

You're 28, 204lb, you have a gun, and you're MMA trained.

Figure out a way to survive until the flashing lights get there and Trayvon has to run if he's guilty of starting a fight/beating your ass.

Figure out a way to tell Trayvon, "The cops are on their way."

or....

Figure out that it's 7:19pm on a Sunday night, no kid walking your streets in a hoodie is about to "hit a lick"... and continue on your god-damn way to Target you creep.

"Creepy Ass Cracker"....

Those are the words Travon Martin used to describe George Zimmerman.

Am I upset to hear Trayvon would use a racial slur to describe the man that was following him for no reason?

No...because I remember what it was like being a kid.

When we told our friends stories about the villians in our life, we didn't think about how disgusting it is to use words like n!gger, k!ke, sp!ck, fgt, etc, etc, etc, etc...or call the women we talk to "bitches" or "whores" behind their back.

We went for whatever hate filled word we knew...

Then, we grew up, and most of us learned how to pick and choose our words better.

Trayvon Martin isn't going to have that chance.

Was George Zimmerman a "Creepy Ass Cracker?"

No.

He was actually a 28 year old Hispanic man with seemingly good intentions when he started his neighborhood watch program.

However, on the night he shot Trayvon Martin he conducted himself like a creep and it's my belief that his irresponsible actions leading up to the altercation and irresponsible use of a firearm during the altercation he started is going to make him guilty of manslaughter.

I'll be applauding his conviction.

Over and out,

-LG
