My problem isn't the markup that he sold at, it's his obvious attempt to scam people. If he came ITT and at least tried to defend his MU I would just laugh privately and ignore, but this is a plain attempt to rob the marketplace. He basically says he knew it was an unprofitable investment.
It was a scam from the beginning: "willing to give a discount if someone buys all of it", and then when asked how much he was selling after the fact he says 5%? That doesn't even make sense. Like some poster pointed out earlier Kydd was just trying to downplay the scam.
I get the concept of an "open marketplace" "free market" and whatever else you want to call it, but this is still a community and the goal of this marketplace is for mutually beneficial investments. This was a used car salesman trying to sell a Lemon, which obviously should not be tolerated.
