i'm fine with whatever op decides is most +EV.

etiquette yeah best to do disclaimer etc in op so there's no confusion. but in general investors just want to see seller act as good custodian of funds. when you haven't disclaimed flexibility (like audible for wpt paris) in op, post and contact as many as you can. consensus seems best. if several investors post saying "yeah sounds good", i think investors will be satisfied. i think it's pretty likely that nobody would prefer op to skip good tourneys and just send the funds back.

Playing day1b of WPT Paris tomorrow. I heard back from every investor via this thread or a PM so that means 1 buy in of WPT Paris is added for everyone who invested in this package.

Faraz, it looks like when you bink a WPT you also win a 25k seat into the WPT Championship. If/when you win one of these, will we keep our equity in that seat when you play it?

I would just add the 25k to the payout because obv if i was selling 40% of the 25k i would receive a markup for that etc. But i could of course offer everyone who invested first dibs on it.

Blah busted WPT today in similar fashion to day 2 of WCOOP highroller. Sat down and 5 hands in i play this pot to bust:

UTg limps 1600, I limp mp w/ 55. Lucky chewy limps button, sb completely and bb checks.

Flop 5h 6s 10h. SB leads 3300, bb calls. I make it 10.5k chewy makes it 25.5k. i make it 57k he shoves I call ( I started hand with 160k). He has 66 and has me covered gg.


Either way just a massive cooler so not too concerned with it. Was very happy with how i played WPT paris and last weeks WCOOPS really feeling on top of my game and in the zone to take one of these bad boys down

Hmm, Faraz, now I'm in a difficult spot about Paris FYI - I never got a message from you asking whether I'd be ok with the switch, and I'm just now checking in on this thread. I obviously would have been ok with the switch if I had heard about it (or if you had done it automatically, it would have been fine), but now I see your post saying only people that confirmed they are OK with the switch had action. The reason it's difficult is now I think that means I wouldn't have gotten paid if you had won money there since I never confirmed (nor did I ever receive a message from you asking).

What do people think of this situation?

2cents i think it's reasonable for him to book only confirmed action if he had no proof of agreement from unconfirmed investors. this seems a safer option than playing a new tournament and claiming unconfirmed investors were booked without their permission.

that said, it would have been ideal for faraz to send each investor a PM explaining the situation. some people receive email notifications when they get PMs or even just check their inbox when they get new messages, but posters don't necessarily go back into threads they bought action in to check on the status and confirm changes in action, so it's not reasonable to expect investors to provide this information out of some assumed investor proactivity. the onus of communication lies with the seller of the action imo.

It sounds like Faraz was under the impression that the switch was made for ALL investors and would have paid you for that one.

However, it also sounds like he did not inform you of the switch like he had claimed to do. Gotta make sure these things are communicated in stone. Both of you two have pristine reps. Lets see what Faraz thinks.

No, this event was not originally in the package, so there were no funds "budgeted" for it. It was played with the money originally budgeted for the 25k euro high roller; the negative refund amount is the way to subtract the WPT Paris entry from the refunded 25k euro high roller.

I would certainly give a refund to anyone that i didnt get a response from but i made sure i got a response from every single person and if i somehow messed that up and forgot someone i would def give them a refund unless i stated it was AUTO switched for every1

Busted the 3k shootout for a min cash of 5,428 euros.

Played day1 of the 10k mix max ended with 126k avg is 56k, top 16 pay 52 remain. 1st will pay 258k euros

Forgot that is was substituted and not added in on top. You are 100% correct.

Any updates from San Remo High Roller? Last I saw there were 64 entrants. Have not seen chip counts or any hand histories.
