Looking to sell some action for The Bike's $500K prizepool event on
Wednesday, August 12th during their annual WPT series when I stop by LA. I'm trying to confirm whether it's a "guaranteed" prizepool (website says that) or an "estimated" one (structure sheet says that).
This event is in their Quantum Reload format. If you're not familiar with it, they basically have a ton of starting Day 1s to build up the prizepool while also allowing players to enter on Day 2 for a higher buy-in. You receive a larger starting stack (50 BB at the Start of Day 2) and already will be in the money.
For this one, the Day 2 entry is $2.5K and we'll already be $400 ITM, so it's essentially a $2.1K event with our whole buy-in going into the prizepool.
This past summer in Vegas I played 16 $1K-$1.5K buy-ins (including re-entries) and cashed on 4 of them and busting near the bubble (<60 players away) on another 2. I did not cash on any buy-ins larger than $2K over 3 events: a $2K Mega, a $3K LHE, and the $10K Main Event (which I made Day 3, busting 400 off the money). I believe they give a $3700 WPT Legends Main seat to at least the winner and in the case I am fortunate enough to win it, this will be paid out as cash value w/ no rollover equity.
I'm playing regardless of how much is sold, except in the unlikely scenario that the turnout is very poor and they confirm it's only an estimated prize pool, not a guaranteed one. In that case, I will just cancel it and refund everyone.

Fine Print
—This package is for the tournaments listed in the spreadsheet above and only those tournaments.
—All payments must be received in full at least 24 hours before the first day of the first tournament of this package or your action will automatically be un-booked (unless I confirm alternate arrangements with you in this thread).
—I reserve the right to skip any tournament in the package or cancel the entire package at any time, for any reason, prior to the start of the first tournament and you will be refunded for those events in full (including markup). I also may be playing other smaller events on my own that may require me to skip part of the schedule and again you will be refunded for those events in full (including markup).
—All winnings will be subject to taxes but I will not withhold for taxes in the event of big score(s) as long as investors provide name, address, SS #. (All of this information can be provided with a simple W-9 form.) Otherwise I will withhold 35% to meet my tax obligations.
