Hey everyone, Eric Christensen here, looking to sell some action to my first ever Main Event at 1.10 markup. Been playing poker primarily MTT's for about 18 years, semi-professionally pre black friday and again since 2019. Unfortunately for me, 85% of my profits since '19 are untracked on Bovada, but I included my hand-kept results (details upon request) + graph over the past 50 months since I started this endeavor, as well as my sharkscope results from tracked sites. Overall during this time I've played ~12.5k MTT's for a total profit of ~$123.5k and a 35.5% ROI. Haven't played live since covid, but during my last and only previous trip to vegas in 2019, I finished 6th in a Venetian $600 for 8.6k and cashed two other WSOP events during a 10 day stay. Been good friends and grinding buddies with online and live crusher Zach "Hustlergrune" Gruneberg since high school, I'll be staying with him during the event and he can vouch that all of the above is accurate and for my character as a person. I think I'd be a good buy in this tournament because I mix a strong foundation in GTO principles with a focus on presence at the table. My primary study materials over the past few years have been the books "Modern Poker Theory" by Michael Acevedo, and "Poker With Presence" by Jason Su, and Nick Petrangelo's online course on Upswing Poker, "Winning Poker Tournaments".
Although I don't have a ton of live experience, I believe I have an additional edge against many live players because I do not drink or smoke at all, or use my phone while playing. I'm confident in my ability to adjust ranges / optimal play based on what I'm seeing from the varied mix of opponents I expect to see in this event. I'm also getting married just a few days before the event, so I'll definitely be coming to Vegas in a great physical and mental space and fully prepared for a long week of challenging poker.
