Mohsen Tayfeh Eliminated in 16th Place (€35,000)

Mohsen Tayfeh raised to 115,000 in early position and it folded around to Mike Piper on the button.

"How much are you playing please?" he enquired of Tayfeh in a manner that suggested he meant business. 1.3 million at the start of the hand, was the answer. Piper reraised to 265,000.

Back to Tayfeh, who announced all in, and back to Piper, who announced call.

Tayfeh: {9-Clubs} {9-Spades}
Piper: {J-Clubs} {J-Hearts}

"Good luck," said Piper. "Jack ten eight flop."

"I'd rather take a nine," smiled Tayfeh, standing up.

Board: {7-Hearts} {K-Clubs} {7-Spades} {8-Clubs} {K-Diamonds}

With that we lose Mr. Tayfeh. Piper, already chip leader before the hand, is now huge chip leader on a little over 5 million.

mike: was this tayfeh guy a german? cause he sure looks like one i briefly talked to at ept berlin.

Pattersson got burned in that piece of news. He's not Swedish, he's a Finn!

And in an interview he says he felt like Mike was on a draw. As he would bet a jack on the flop. And I'm kind of shocked that they don't know how to count outs: 3 kings + 3 jacks + 4 queens for the gutter + 3 nines for counterfitting his 2 pair = 13 outs.
