There needs to be more thorough vetting of references and maybe they should be losing MP privileges for some amount of time when stakes they vouch for go wrong like this, it comes up every year but references/vouches never put up a dime when things go wrong so who cares?

Sometimes people just list references of people they've dealt with in the past assuming its ok to use their name when they actually haven't ok'd it. I ask everyone I use if I can, but that's just because I want to keep it all on the up n up. I suggest buyers do more research before purchasing. If for ex. He used Romdom as a reference bc he backed him in the past, but bobby had no idea he used his name, bobby shouldn't have his mp privileges removed because someone else made a mistake. That seems kinda absurd.

Just do more research before purchasing, make sure you talk to the references If you need to.

I think as buyers/investors that its mandatory to have references come into thread to acknowledge the reference, or at least a link to a previous thread were reference was acknowledged by posting.

Rambling names in a thread with no acknowledgement seems useless.

I take my reputation on here very seriously and I feel awful about posting a positive reference for Drew only to see this happen. I have played with Drew on several occasions and I can honestly say that during those encounters, I am of the opinion that he played very well. I have invested in Drew in the past and he was always punctual with updates and payments. I certainly would have never seen this coming. I hope that Drew does the right thing and keeps investors up to date on progress of payments until everyone has been made whole.

Drew, the most important thing here, other than the obvious in paying people what is owed, is to over communicate rather than going dark and leaving people wondering.

I had been crafting something to post but I don't think I could have said it better than this. Previously, albeit not for any sizable amounts of money, Drew had always been upfront and honest with me. I try not to post nice things or speak favorably about a package unless I myself am willing to invest in it. I invested in this package and I am owed money as well.

Needless to say I am extremely disappointed and surprised by what happened this summer, both the rolling and the way it has been handled to this point. I want to believe that we will all be repaid eventually and hopefully Drew will be better about communicating his progress to everyone.

I hope you are able to play your "A" game while playing that much...most players can't. I only say this because I know that you have a lot of pressure to perform and may be emotionally impacted by this but you simply can't allow that to affect your play. I hope that you play stakes/games that you are comfortable playing and hours that you are comfortable playing and just worry about playing your best because it does nobody any good if you lose more money.

This package was the first time I bought on the 2+2 marketplace and will be the last.

As far as I can tell (small sample) mark-up/scammers make marketplace 2+2 staking -EV. I'm going to be looking for ways to cross-book action for next WSOP. Perhaps I can convince "references" to cross-book? Seems reasonable.

I'd also like to add that I was not informed about any of this disaster. I suppose the logic is that .5% stakeholders money is not as important as a 3% stakeholders money?
