DoGGz, I don't think your analogy works. There are probably tennis players and golfers on tour that have sponsors/backers that lose money on them. That information isn't public. Why should it be? I don't see why you should ever be able to look someone's name up on the internet and see how much money they've lost at poker. That's ridiculous.
We have a winner! It is imperative to protect rec players and keep the recreational players coming back. Heres an idea... lets have a database out there that shows how much money they have lost buying into the WSOP! That will just keep them coming back year after year!
This has nothing to do with poker being shameful, has more to do with protecting recreational players.
I'm not saying I disagree with you Dogz, I'm just saying that the other side has merit.
