Hello, I am Kevin Johnson, a 31yo poker enthusiast. I supported myself during college playing poker, I was a winning 200nl-400nl reg on ACR from like 2012-2014 and then joined the real world working a 9-5 and only playing ~1 tourney on Sunday.

By the end of 2017 I had the poker bug again and made plans to take another shot as a full time pro. I quit my job, took a short term contract job near a casino and started saving up for a bankroll. By summer 2018, I was ready and drove out to Vegas for 3 weeks at the WSOP, playing mostly cash games. That fall I started travelling around the WSOP Circuit.

I binked a WSOPC Main at the end of 2018 and continued travelling in 2019, with solid results. If you play the tourney Circuit east of the Mississippi River, then we probably have played together. I was getting tired of the full time grind by the end of 2019 and then COVID hit so it was an easy decision to go back to a 9-5 and now I play online on the weekend and then travel for a tourney when I can.

I am attempting to sell $5k worth of action for the WSOP Main this fall. I have never bought or sold action publicly before and have always had the majority of my action other than a few $100 from friends who don't play poker.

There is no markup, due to this lack of history and references. I am confident that I will have an edge over the field but $10k is still too much money for me to drop on one tourney. If I can sell $5k here, and then about 1k to friends, it will be a number that I am comfortable buying in for.

I played the Main Event for the first time in 2019, having almost 90% of my action. I bagged 95k after day 1 and busted 2 hours into day 2. Doomswitch was engaged and I lost every pot culminating with me 4bet shoving 37bb TT into a big stack bb squeeze who had KK.

The WSOP Main is going to be one of biggest and, without many international players, probably the softest WSOP Main in 10 years. I want to be a part of it and hope others want to join me.

As far as payment, I can accept via Zelle or Crypto. I can also make a Cash App account too if needed.

I don't need to receive anything this far out, tbh I would like to have a decent reserve list before I start accepting money. That way I don't have to worry about refunding if I don't get enough backing.

I probably should have made this more clear instead of burying it in my poker career story. This is strictly the Main Event and I am trying to sell up to $5k with no markup.

I would be travelling to Vegas for the Main, no other WSOP plans at this point. I may end up going for a long weekend to play the MillyMaker and 8game, but have not decided yet.

If interest is high enough for this, I may also try to sell shares for a handful of $1500 events between the 2nd and 3rd weekends. Millymaker, Horse, 8game, Monster Stack. I do love playing Mixed Games, just never get to. I mincashed 8game and Horse in 2019 and earlier this month I had a 4way chop at The Orleans Summer Series 8game event

Update on this. At this point I will not be playing the Main Event. Maybe something changes in the next couple months.

Ill will be going to Vegas Oct 7th-13th to play in the Millionaire Maker and the 8game bracelet events.

Thanks Tryba and Rayrayrayray for being willing to invest in me. If you want to put that toward these events instead let me know, I will be happy to do it.

My planned schedule is

Friday - Millionaire Maker - $1500
Saturday - Millionaire Maker - $1500, if needed
Monday - 8 Game Mix - $1500

So $3000 total buyin, potentially $4500.

My experience in 8 game is limited (two tourneys), but promising. I min cashed the $1500 8 game in 2019 WSOP and this summer I chopped 4 handed in the Orleans Summer Series $300 8game (the other 3 players had combined 10 million in live cashes to my measly 250k). I also cashed the $1500 HORSE event in 2019. I enjoy the mixed games, just dont get to play them often.
