Hey all, Camz here looking to sell action for the $1500 razz this summer at the WSOP.

I've sold on the marketplace once before for this event in 2011. Link to thread here:

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/18...arkup-1008815/

I made a deep run and finished in 14th and paid all investors promptly.

A little about me: I've been playing poker since '04ish i think and started playing razz sometime in '07 i believe. I took a beating at first which my PT graph will show but I turned it around and ended up a 1.2bb/100 winner on FTP in stakes from 1/2-8/16 mostly with occasional 10/20. I made it a point to get good at all forms. HU, full ring, HUsngs, and MTTs and I think my results show.

A link to my OPR for Pokerstars is here:

http://officialpokerrankings.com/pok...BD9B8.html?t=2

My results here are nothing to write home about. My ROI/profit are pretty skewed since there wasn't much of a selection of MTTs outside of their $10 nightly. I bricked all the $200 WCOOPs i played(maybe 3) so yea.

Here's my FTP OPR:

http://officialpokerrankings.com/ful...83219.html?t=2

As you can see here I have 86% ROI over 123 tourneys in the "other" tab which is probably 95% razz tourneys. I played mostly the nightly $26, weekly $75, and the weekly $215 a few times, along with the FTOPS events which i had good success in.

Some highlights of my results are: 8th, 20th, 56th, 35th, and another 56th(which are all cashes) in the FTOPS which is a pretty high cash rate although i'm not sure how many i played. I wouldn't be surprised if it was 40% ITM in FTOPS.

Also, I finished 13th out of 1k+ in a miniFTOPS razz event.

I also final tabled the weekly $75 a couple of times along with quite a few final tables of the weekly $26. Before BF i chopped the $215 heads up as well.

I think my MTT results speak for themselves but i'll show my cash results. NOTE: these are somewhat incomplete as during the time i changed pcs/hard drives but this is what i was able to collect. It's about 80k hands total which is nothing for NLHE but it's a decent sample considering the game...

PS Graph:

So as you can see i took a dive while I learned the game. Once it "clicked" i turned it around and made my way to breakeven on the site...I ultimately moved all my cash play to FTP b/c of their speed/ante structure and my results are here:

Now most of that is 2/4-5/10 on FTP and a lot of HU.

I've played WSOP 4 times with the one cash(14th), 2 early bustouts and 1 70th last year which was a couple dozen spots out the money.

Hendon Mob:
http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=205606
http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/play...&n=270796(they reversed my names)

Now that my resume is out the way. I want to say how excited I am for this tourney. I've been wanting them to drop the buyin to 1500. I feel like this will be HUGE in terms of softness, field size, and therefore my ROI. While the 2500 was relatively soft I have high expectations for the 1500.

Ok, so I really liked the way some guys auctioned their shares last year as a way to determine what the market agrees the markup should be so I'll do that with these.

Here we go(copied from his thread)

Rules
- I will sell 35% of this event
- I start the bidding at taking all of the 35% myself at 1.05
- Investors can bid on chunks of 5% and must make their new bid at least 0.01 mu higher than the previous bid (if you'd like to buy less than 5% please find other people to create a full 5%, otherwise it'll be too much of an administrative nightmare for me). At the time of the OP you can jump in and bid on 5% for 1.01 or more, once all 7 pieces of 5% have a bid at 1.01 someone else can jump in and bid 1.02 or higher.
- When bidding on any 5% piece, the lowest offer of all the pieces will be replaced with the new offer
- Any 5% piece can be locked up at 1.35 until all the pieces have offers of 1.35 or higher, after that the buyout will go up to 0.05 higher than the highest current bid
- In the hopefully rare case someone doesn't pay after winning the piece will be sold to the next highest bidder
- Bidding will close May 15th 11:59pm central time, payments must be made before May 28th(unless cash in vegas)

Methods of payment
- Chase QP
- check
- cash in vegas(reputable members)

Taxes
If I cash i will need tax info from each investor(SSN, ID etc) or i will withold 28% prior to paying.

Updates
My twitter account is @nut_low
Here's a google document which I will try to update several times a day.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...kE&usp=sharing

Let the bidding begin!

ps - references can be provided upon request

NOTE* At any time before event I can choose to cancel and play on my own time 100%. While not likely, if i bink something before then i may feel frisky. All investors will obv promptly be refunded

Make the auction end sooner, there is no reason to bid until the very end.

I've done a bit of research and this seems to be the best answer I could find. It is copied from Russ Fox's blog: http://www.taxabletalk.com/2011/05/2...p-2011-update/

Scenario #1: US Player Backed by an Individual from a Tax Treaty Country.

Let’s assume I’m playing and am backed by Ivan from Russia. I receive a W-2G for $10,000 (my net winnings). It would seem all I have to do is just pay Ivan his $10,000 share of my gross profit, right?

Wrong.

Even though Ivan is from a Tax Treaty country, paperwork is required or tax must be withheld. Ivan needs to provide you either a Form W-8BEN or a Form W-8ECI. The Form W-8BEN is used to note the benefits of a Tax Treaty. Ivan would complete the form, including his ITIN and note the Article of the Tax Treaty that specifies that there would be no withholding. As long as you receive the completed Form W-8BEN you can then pay Ivan his share. If you pay by cash or casino chips, make sure you get a signed receipt from Ivan acknowledging his receipt of the money.

What if Ivan doesn’t have an ITIN? Then you must withhold at 30% even though he’s exempt from withholding. You would need to complete Form 1042-S and depending on the amount withheld very quickly remit that money using EFTPS to the IRS. (EFTPS is now the only method available for making withholding deposits to the IRS.) Ivan can get the money back by filing a Form 1040NR following year-end.

If Ivan has a business operating in the US, he would provide Form W-8ECI with either his Employer Identification Number (EIN) or his ITIN. This will allow you not to withhold to Ivan.

Note: Even if no withholding is required a Form 1042-S must be submitted to the IRS. See this post.

We can see that even the easy scenario isn’t necessarily that easy.

So if you don't have ITIN i'd withold 30% and fill out those forms and remit the $ to the IRS and you can claim it at the end of the year.

Here is a link to Belgium/US TAx treaties for W-8BEN purposes

Thx for doing the research, I think I have an ITIN since I've cashed in the WSOP before but I don't know it by heart/can't find my paperwork. I'll see what I can do about that.

In the mean time I'd like to bid 25% @ 1.12

Thx! Question about the auction process... So who do I take the 5% from since their bids are the same? Do I take 2.5% off each or 5% from the person with the smaller share?

Just reread rules and since I specified that pieces can be no smaller than 5% I think I have to reduce SG's share to 5% huh? Is that how you guys figure it should be?
