Im interested but how much tax does americans haveto pay for WSOP cashes?

I understand its like 40%? Then wouldnt that mean that these things are kinda unbeatable, or beatable with a very small % only?

Or is there ways to avoid the taxing like online? I find it hard to see how it would be worth ur time to play in the wsop if you haveto pay almost half of your wins in tax

they are beyond beatable. ROI has to be around 100% and you only pay taxes on profits. I don't see how it would ever be an unbeatable game, otherwise no one would ever play

Singer Takes a Sad Song and Makes It Better
*
"Yes! Yes! Yes!"

An interesting hand occurred at the start of Level 5 over on Table 46 just now. More than just interesting for Joe Singer, speaker of the above. For him, it was awesome.

Gabe Costner opened with a raise to 400 from early position, and a player to Costner's left reraised all in. Singer failed to notice the reraise, so when he said he was calling, he didn't realize he was calling for most of his chips. Then the player acting after Singer shoved over the top all in, forcing Costner out and making it necessary for Singer to commit the last of his stack.

The original player who pushed all-in turned over Jd Jc , and the player to Singer's left (Aka Hero) showed Ah Kh. Tough spot for 9h 7h, which is what Singer had.

But the flop came 885 rainbow, giving Singer a gutshot. ("Yes!) And the turn was the 6, completing his straight. ("Yes!") And the blank river meant he'd survived. ("Yes!")

Singer has about 13,000 now.

Did Gabe have you covered if singer didn't call?

No, there was a 700 chip side pot and I had 175 on top of singer. The next hand I was in the SB with 23o vs an EP raise and call off the extra 75. Villain had AT. Flop 579, A on the turn and couldn't river out the wheel. That dude ended up running TT through AA aipf later and made it to day 2. Woulda been nice to have a 13k stack in that tourney.

Left my mark though in 2010 WSOP (thAt HH was on the WSOP website). Can't wait til next series. Thanks a ton for the support guys - I hope to play for some you again
