Hi we are nearing the end of day 1 in the wsop circuit main event in sydney. Hero has 75k and average 80k. All tables are 10max. Blinds are 1k - 2k 300 ante.

I know alot of things 'depend' on stacksize, table and player dynamics, but looking for general catch all thoughts on the below hands.

hand 1: We are dealt KJo in utg +1. Hero has a TAG / solid image and table was not getting too out of line pre. Would you open here? How about ATs/o, what would the bottom of your opening range be both paired and unpaired hands.

hand 2: We are dealt A8o in Lojack 1 (because 10max, lojack 2 is before CO). Are you opening this hand with 6 behind, how about JTs, QTs, what is the bottom of your opening range here, both paired and unpaired.

Prob somthin like A5-A3s, ATs, AJ+, 55 or 66+. All suited bways, KQ. KJo is close and think it just depends. Think nearing end day 1s for live events people tend to tighten up a bjt for the last level, and you tend to see more polarized 3b ranges vs ep opens, would prob have some combos of 65-54s as well.

Think mp-lp opens can be a bit wider as well for the same dynamic that seems to take place end day 1s. Prob open every Ax from hijack, bways, pairs might still muck 33-22. Prob open 87s+ and T8s+

Is this for hand 1?

Yeah that's his hand one range. My range would be close to ampfunds I'd be folding KJo and opening 77+, going with most suited broadways and KQo, ATs,AJ+ , also throwing in either the low suites Ax or hands like 98s to mix things up once is awhile

Hand two a8o is close prolly fold unless everyone is very nitty. Definitely throwing in the suited Broadway's like JTs and QTs id prefer those over low to mid Ax type hands.

Folding both hands pre on day 1, but playing the suited paint etc
