But that implies a bit smaller sizing because you can rep kinda merged here--if you were leading a lot of 87 then IP has to fold pretty often (really always) with naked overs, for that reason (and because he has to take a stand somewhere prior to reaching his paired+ segments--like overs+bdfd is about the min combo he can defend vs a donk, after all you will certainly lead value, too) you have a nice spot to lead for protection/some value with 4x, 5x, 6x, 77 etc, if you can go for value that wide then there's no reason not to lead clubs, 7x, 8x too, ultimately because you can.
In consideration of needing to protect your x range (since your range is still a dog, just not a hopelessly huge one) the net effect is lots of combos in your range having a small amount of incentive to lead i.e. narrow, yet diffuse.
Pretty sure people will play worse vs the lead than vs the x. At the very least it's basically $$ in the bank that they will not raise enough in total nor will they raise enough to balance their value that wants to raise, you will almost surely encounter universes where the lead in effect purchases additional clarity on future streets by forcing IP player to play back properly, which they will not do. Most V's will be exploitably weak to the turn.
AP you block 87 which still means something, he should have few Kx though Kd does not block any of his Kx that reaches turn, you still have equity and blocking clubs is nice too. It's certainly a fine spot to barrel. Your value wants to split sizings going small to get thin value from Kx or to milk with a set or even a straight or going large to immediately extract fat value with the top of your range, Qc8x having the described characteristics makes it OK for either strategy.
Think your approach to OB shipping club rivers would be correct but on non-clubs I think he'll more whiffed QcXc than he'll have 8cXc so prob just giving up on most non-clubs and shipping the Qo8c ones. It depends on what he does OTR though some people will not fold AA which really are not doing great on lots of runouts once you find a turn barrel for this size
Thanks for the analysis - seems we're on the same page here for the most part.
I've just gone to re-visit the sim in attempt to look at it from the view of your analysis and found that almost all of my saved sims are gone. Not accidently deleted and in the recycle bin, but have just disappeared. Do you or anybody else have any idea why or how?
