1 / (1.28+1) = ~0.439

We're sitting in BB so 1bb + ante is already invested, so we have to call 15bb to win what's in the middle plus what we have to risk. Let's say 9-handed game played at 50/100 + 10. Then there's 50+100+9x10 = t240 and his jam of t1590 (he posted ante too) = t1830 in the middle. Now you have to call t1500 to win t1500+t1830: 1500 / (1500+1830) = ~0.45.

Formula is basically C / (C+P) with: C = CALL, P = POT.

This comes into play when figuring out which hands we can profitably call. You can use a simple equity calculator and figure out which hands have >= 0.45% equity vs his range to make a even/winning call. Against his 22.17% shoving range AA has 83.99% equity, 72o has 27.75%. So your correct calling range will be 44+,A5s+,A9o+,KTs+,KQo.

I'd highly recommend Holdem Viewer for this, as for a given range it will list all the hands in order of the equity they have against the submitted range.
