blinds 4k/8k/ 500
currently chip leader on table, about 20 left 11 paid

CO (hero) raises Q9 to 16k
BB Calls 16k
villain has 700kish, we cover vill. Around 50's but seems to be playing ok

Flop Q810
BB leads for 25k, hero calls

Turn 4
bb leads for 36k , hero raises to 90k , bb calls quickly

River 4
bb leads for 106k, hero?

Expected vill to be on a draw on the turn alot of the time, and was planning on checking all rivers. Felt like if we flat turn , vill can play perfectly v us on all rivers.
Buttt then he leads riv on a brick, thoughts?

I would say call because you counterfit some of his 2 pairs, all the straight draws/flush draws missed on the turn.

He may very well be raising you on the turn with KJ/with or without flush draw, same goes for 79 with or without flush draw. and there are simply so many hands that missed. plus you counterfit his 9/10. and I think in the long run you will be good here.

He is polarising his range at J9 and there aren't that many of that, and too many draws missed: Call.

I probably raise to 20k pre-flop.

BB's 25k leadout seems large. And the turn bet seems smallish. So I see why you want to raise because it looks like a semi-bluff. But it could also be an attempt at value. And this is an $80 tourney so it could just be random bet sizing.

I wouldn't have raised the turn (I would want to get to SD cheap). And then I would call the smallish river bet.

As is, the river bet is small and looks like value. I probably fold here. If possible I would base the decision on reads or past betting patterns if any. It could be T8. Or Qx Spades. And it could be a sad attempt at a 3 barrel bluff.

He can also have a boat here.

I think this spot is very V dependant. Besides "he was playing ok" did you pick up on any other reads? Did he like to donk bet a lot? When he did donkbet was it usually with a draw or with a made hand?

Turn looks very thin.

Just call down in this spot.
