$215 buy-in and there is a WCOOP for every $5,200 in the prize pool. 87 seats, 88 - 90th get $530. There are 120 Left
Blinds are 1500/3000 and the avg stack is about 55K. People are playing pretty tight. We are 9 handed.
Hero has 68K Has UTG+1
MP1 has 78K
MP2 has 56K

Preflop hero has QQ
1 fold, Hero raises to 8K, 1 fold, MP1 shoves, MP2 shoves, folds back to hero?

I think this is a fold, but we still have to knock out a lot of other players. A win here would virtually guarantee a seat. For those that say this is a fold, If you fold QQ, would you call KK here? AA?

If you fold, you will still have about 75% chance of winning. Calling can’t be that good, even against two AK, or two underpairs. Even AA kind of sucks. I suspect second Villain who shoved with no fold equity is basically KK+.

While MP1's range could be somewhat wide, I think your best case scenario is that MP2's range is something like JJ+,AK and that might be optimistic.

I could fold this in a satellite - average stack at the end is going to be less than 80K so there's a decent chance we can give up this spot and still get a seat. Probably calling KK, certainly calling AA.

Reshoving with JJ or QQ or AK with zero fold equity is pretty terrible. That being said, people play Sats terribly.

I don't understand is this a satellite? Or just a basic 215 tourney with a seat add-on in the prize pool?

I RARELY fold queens. Never fold aces unless it's bubble time in a satellite. Well I might fold kings if it's like a really tight dude and it's deep and he's never shoving less than kings.

If you're the average villian and you have 18 or 22 bigs here you're folding tens or AQs facing two other shoves? I've folded a pp less than queens in this spot and I've seen like AJ vs KQs... likewise I've shoved with AK and got called with two other all ins and the lone pp held up when the other villain showed overs.

The average Villain might call with AQs or TT, but he sure as hell shouldn't.

Definitely folding QQ here, and probably folding KK as well even though it seems super nitty. My logic for folding KK is that we can assume MP2's range is super strong (AA, KK and maybe AKs), so with our K blockers there are more combos of AA. Folding still leaves us 20bb and in a decent spot.

I'm folding QQ unless I have some kind of read.

I'm probably calling with KK, unless I have some kind of read. I have folded KK twice pre-flop. Once was correct. Once wasn't...

AA is an auto call, unfortunate if we are against 2 different pairs.

Thanks for the responses. So I did fold and it was AA vs KK. But sadly we would have spiked a queen. Good news is that I did end up winning a seat to the WCOOP in this tournament.
