Bovada $125 KO ... ~300 runners

Hero 22,000
Villian 16,000
Blinds 200-400

Villian raises Hi-Jack to 1100
Hero on button calls 1100 w/ 3d3s

Flop J 9 A (rainbow)
HJ checks
Hero bets 1400
HJ calls 1400

Turn J 9 A Q (two hearts)
HJ checks
Hero checks

River J 9 A Q 3 (any backdoor flush draw missed, we hit our set)
6,000 in pot on river

HJ donk bets 5900
Hero - We river a set, he bets full pot (seemed really weird at the time)... he has 7800 behind. Obviously we're never folding, just wondering whether to call or try to get the rest of his stack. I used half my time bank deciding whether to jam or just call ... it was a huge bet and he could easily have 10 8 or 10 K or a passively/trappy set hand.

More importantly... what is his calling range that we have beat? Some really weirdly played set or the likely straight cards. How often are people calling off with two pair here? We would basically be representing the made straight with a jam so it's possible some sets would be folding, and most (if not all) two pair combinations.

I jammed and he tank/called with the flopped two pair AJ and I got paid off nicely. But thinking back on this hand I don't really like my decision. I think I maybe should have just flatted 33. Perhaps since the board didn't flush out we can get it in most of the time. Maybe if the board flushes we just call big river bets with sets and jam otherwise? Any thoughts appreciated.

(FWIW I wish the rest of you guys would post more hands where stuff worked out but you think you made a mistake... all these hands on here are just running into the top of the villian's range...)

This is AQ/AJ a lot of the time from a player who isn't afraid of a K or T hitting the river. He wants to maximize his value to chip up by acting weak since he has less than 20 bigs left and he's not planning to fold regardless of what lands on the river. I'm good with a value shove. Make it look really irritating too, the type where you just take a big tall stack and let it fall forward towards the dealer.

Why are we betting the flop? River is a pretty easy jam especially in a KO
