ACR $50 buyin $15k guarantee. We are about 30 players from bubble. Two short players >10 bbs to my left only one big stack around 50 bbs on button. Most of the table have 20-25. I have 23 bbs.

OTTH

V1 UTG open shoves 21 bbs.
V2 UTG +1 snap reshoves 23 bbs.

I'm next with JJ. Call or fold?

IC that someone hasn't invested in PT4 yet...

Get PT4+HRC...import HH directly from PT4 to HRC...generate answer in about 2 mins.

Since your a nice guy...I'll help you out...

They shove/iso too tight (as compared to a GTO strat) then it's a fold...They shove/iso too loose easy call.

They play perfectly...you're (close to) indifferent...flip-coin, etc.

How do we range a 21xBB UTG open shove? It doesn't seem like a good play with any hand.

I got these cEV numbers from HRC...the cEV for Open Shoving is in the upper left of each square, cEV for 2.1x Opening is in the lower left. As you can see, Open Shoving has a higher cEV expectation* for a decent amount (AKo;AKs;KQs;QJs;QTs;A3s-A5s) of this range.

*this assumes a GTO response

Thanks guys. After the hand, I think the table was looser than GTO. I tank folded (felt close, and I guess the feeling was right). V1 had 55. V2 had AK. I would have tripled if I called.

A few orbits later, I busted before the bubble shoving A4s from SB with 14 bbs after button (20 bbs opened for 2x). He had KQ and the flop left little drama (KQQ).

The open shove with 55 is awful. V1 rarely has QQ+, so it is probably a call. If you know V1 can have small pps, then easier call.

As I indicated, open shoving 20xBB UTG doesn't make much sense period, maybe it is OK with AK. So it isn't that surprising the shover had a hand for which folding would have been a better play.

I do not know, i would fold even QQ

No ITM pressure, JJ could be be...but i can fold as well

I don't think we should be that concerned about the bubble, unless less than 10 place pay and the mincash is a big percent of the prize pool.

UTG open shove should exclude most KK and AA IMO. Range realistically looks something like 99-QQ AQ, AK IMO. VS just the UTG jam I get in JJ+, AK. When UTG+1 reshoves I just stick in QQ+.

Wow, just read UTG shoved with 55. lol. This is full ring right? Not 6-max? I would definitely note that person and be ready to ISO pretty wide VS him in the future.

Yes, full ring. Unfortunately, had no reads on UTG. If I knew he was so wide, I'd have called even with the reshove. I do have a note on V1 now.
