I would check raise here. If he has a king he will call you. If not, he won't be giving you much anyway on later streets

Fully agree. Plus the stacks are deep so you want to try and build a pot early if he does have a good K. A check-raise could also look like you have the

flush draw so he may try to raise you off with AK, AA or KQs (if he does flat and hope no

falls).

Of course he could have a better J but there are 3x as many AK, KQ, AA combinations and unlikely he's 3-betting pre-flop with any better J other than AJs (sometimes).
