Bleh. I always stack off here and often regret it, but it's not like you have much more than a PSB behind.

This is a really weak field but these actions reek of strength, I agree it's a sticky spot but am never folding.

I think we can fold comfortably with even a slightly deeper stack, but people are morons in this tournament and could conceivably take these actions with draws on this wettest of boards. I say make a database read and fold to good players, jam on bad ones.

What about calling and "drawing to a safe card?" We're getting better than 6-1 and about half the deck is good for us and half is bad. So we're getting more than we need but that's balanced out by the time's were already crushed. Think there's a lot of FDs, 99-JJ, and 87 out there in addition to sets and rare straights. The best part is if a 2 or a T comes off, they'll still stack off with worse equity whereas we can check/evaluate any scare cards.

hows this range?

Board: 5d 6c 8c
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 55.191% 54.12% 01.07% 34828 687.50 { KhKs }
Hand 1: 44.809% 43.74% 01.07% 28147 687.50 { QQ-55, AcKc, AcQc, AcJc, AcTc, KcQc, QcJc, JcTc, Tc9c, 97s+, 86s+, 76s, 65s }

obv assumes we just jam flop and they never fold, but i dont see how getting it in on the flop can be bad

I'm folding, think calling would be an option in position maybe, but even if turn is SAFE then we can never be happy about putting more money in.

So really we are hoping that both a safe card comes and they both check, in which case we are giving 2 free cards on this super drawy flop.

Surely we can fold an overpair and wait for a better spots of which there are plenty in these fields?

oh wow didnt see the cold caller behind the minraise, that probably changes things a little bit . disregard my stove...

meh i still just wanna get it in on the flop. big hands can be heavily discounted from the cold callers range as most people will want to get all the money in with their big hands on this draw heavy of a board. and i still think the minraisers range is something similar to what i posted before, probably tighter since its 3 handed otf but still plenty of stuff to allow shoving to be profitable.
