I think it's one of the best on the market from what I've heard. I have gone through it and it was at the same time I was getting into solvers which also helped me a lot with figuring out the best ways to approach studying. The course goes over a good deal of post flop spots and he breaks down his analysis with Pio pretty deeply. My main criticism is that most of the videos are of sims run at 100bb which isn't as relevant for the majority of mtt play. I have been running the sims on the second half of the course on my own at 30 and 50bb eff, but its not exactly the same because they flat and 3b ranges change, plus, I don't have Nick breaking down the analysis for those 30 and 50bb spots.

All in all, I think it's well worth the money.

I didn't get this, but I got Upswing's earlier MTT class. My problem with that one was that it didn't deal much with MTT specific issues, such as short stack play and ICM related late tournament issues. It was comprehensive on how to play each street. It didn't explicitly use solvers. The guy who runs Upswing is a cash player, and I am not sure how much he understands or respects tournament related issues.

"Most of the content deals with 100 BB scenarios" seems like a massively important critique of an MTT course

doesn't inspire much confidence. after having paid for tons of coaching/content over the years ive realized that any decent provider is going to offer value, but some blow others out of the water

[X] Understands
[X] Respects
[X] Needs to respect or understand in order to offer a course (sic) taught by a MTT Professional.

Right, but there is a problem if they put out two different MTT coarses that don't discuss short stack play. That really isn't addressing the differences between MTTs and cash games.

I’ve only gone through the preflop, flop, and 1 play/explain modules but short stack adjustments were definitely covered in these. Even if I stopped here, I’d say the course is well worth the money. They could probably charge that price for the preflop charts alone.

Of course not every board/runout will be covered, but Nick gives you the insight and thought process you need to study effectively on your own. His grasp of theory is incredible and he breaks it down in an easy to understand way. He is also adding videos based on feedback in the FB group, though these are taking a bit longer than I think most people hoped. I also wish we had more engagement from him in the group, but it’s understandable given his schedule and the price he could charge for private coaching.

I wouldn’t recommend this course for beginners, but assuming you have a decent grasp of fundamentals, access to a solver, and are willing to put the time in, you will get a lot out of it.
