Thoughts?

My thought process was this. If we shove turn, we possible get better hands to fold, and win right here with K high. If we shove turn and get called by a hand that's beating us, we have outs to win on the river. If we don't shove turn, what's the other options? If we bet and get called, and then whiff the river, bluffing opportunies are all but gone considering our stack size + villains felting range. Also, if we bet, get called, and we hit our heart or straight, villain can now make a lay down.

All roads leaned towards the shove. Should I have sized up a little on the flop?

Tis a double gut shot. Fine to jam, always have equity against everything. Even hitting a king might be good.

I'm good with the play but you're going to hit the rail a lot this way when 2 people called your flop bet. As long as you're at peace with a high variance play then it's all good. I'm pretty sure it's +EV based on the action.

In all honesty mate, my style is very high variance - I'm very much a go hard or go home sort of player, and maybe, just maybe this is one reason why I keep going in deep in a lot of MTT's but ultimately coming up short of the final table a lot of the time.

i really dont like this flop sizing. u re just auto cbetting 30% in every hand you posted that I saw and not really considering positions or ranges (it seems like that). i'm either betting flop big/jamming turn or x/shoving flop.

If you can slow down once you build a nice stack, it creates the opportunity to go real deep. My game used to be super high variance, but I did not start final tabling MTT until I slowed down a bit. Now, I worry I'm too much of a nit sometimes.

why is this a thread? you want us to verify for you that you can shove turn with your nut best bluff combo?

+1 flop sizing is terrible on this type of texture MW. the only boards that make sense to use small sizings on MW are super dry ones where a number of your hands could use protection, like 822. Most boards you want to play a high X frequency and a medium to big cbet size.

One plus of the small flop size is we at least induce the villains to have a flatting range rather than x/jam at this depth, allowing us the opportunity to put in the last bet on the turn.

Everyone knows JJ always loses... This info has been around for at least 30 years, maybe more.
Like today I RFI'd JJ from CO and BB called, flop QJTss, he xc, then x/jam on a 3x OTT and I lose to 89. Rookie mistake, should've just folded pre.
