Should we deviate from pio here? Should we deviate from pio here?

Pio plays super passive and checks back 85% on some boards for example K-7-7 btn vs bb. In practice population isn't finding 64o x/rs vs a 1/3 cbet. Should we just over cbet boards like this if betting and checking is the same ev?

You should be a wolf and find 64o with a x/rs vs a 1/3 cbet by players who think the same as you.

I have been x/red a lot on paired boards lately. I know they are probably FOS, but I don't know what to do.

The easy way to answer this is to node lock and remove a bunch of these xrs and modify the strategy to something much more passive that’s in line with how recreationals /fun players are approaching this spot. Ime you can bet a lot more than what the equilibrium shows here and it’s going to work fine.
But if you are playing someone who’s good then if you are getting too often you’re going to be better off sticking to the gto strategy

To borrow a phrase from Hamilton:

Call more. Fold less. Most players size small enough in their check raises that you need to defend a lot.

No no no
The reason we are checking back so much on this board is you need to protect your range against this kind of aggressive strategy the answer isn’t to just go stationing off bc you think villain is fos

I wasn’t talking about the OP decision to bet the flop. I was responding to a different post where hero was getting check raised a lot on paired boards.
