Should I find a fold here? (WSOP LA main event) Should I find a fold here? (WSOP LA main event)

Blinds are 250/500, I have a very healthy stack of about 75k.

Utg+1 raises to 1k (18 behind), four callers. I am on the big blind with AK. I raise to about 4.6k. Raising a little big because I am on a donkey table, don't want everyone to call and play a huge multi-way pot.

Utg+1 calls and the player after him calls too after wondering for a while (he has me covered with about 100k).

We go three way to a flop of AK2

It checks to me and I bet about 9.2k. Utg+1 wondering for a bit and shoves all in about 15k. I am pretty happy about this, since I figure he's on a weak ace. Then, the player after him, who has me covered, shoves all in.

Should I be thinking of a fold here? How would you play it? Tips appreciated.

little big? I would go like 7k pre. General rule is your normal raise size +1 for every limper.

AK value goes down huge multiway, actually your 50% vs x2 random hands. Im never folding here we only really worried about 22, they should not have AA,KK often being capped and we have blockers

With that many people flatting an open from early position I would def go for a healthier size 3 bet w AK 8.5 or so you don't have to worry about a 4 bet since u can call off a 4 bet shove from the shallower stacks. Also u want to 3bet enough to take it down pre or get HU since AK is tough multiway. Scoop the dead $! Man as far as your hand goes post flop I dont think I could ever fold unless ICM was a major factor but even still we block AA KK and nobody in there right mind is calling our size 3 bet w 22 pre. Tough spot man prob up against AK QJdd JTdd...curious to hear the outcome!

donkey table =

bigger pre =

call now =

Don't really care what they have as AA, KK and 22 were very poorly played pf if one of them has one of those holdings.

Besides, you have bdfd as well!

I would be very hard pressed to fold here, the amount of anger that would stir up inside me if I folded and saw they were both goofing around with inferior holdings is too much and thus I would not fold under any circumstances in this situation. I'd rather call and see they poorly played their hands than to fold and realize I had the winning hand, regardless of what came up on each street.

Thanks for all the input everyone! Let me share my analysis.

The factors that, in retrospect, lead me to thinking that I should've folded, is that the big stack had me covered and he shoved over the small stack, which to me says that he is never bluffing there. It's hard for him to have AK, KK, AA, A2 because I have blockers, and because of the way the hand was played. Therefore he either has 22 or a semi-bluff JQ diamonds, 10J diamonds..

If there was no flush on the board, I think folding would be optimal, because he is either on 22 or a weird bluff in my mind.

However, with the flush, it's close.. Perhaps, it's optimal to call in that case, because there are more combinations of semi-bluff possible, like 10J, 34, 45 diamonds, etc.

In the end, I ended up calling it off, and he had the 22. Bricked turn and river.

AA or KK are almost next to impossible to have for the player who had 22, for him to just smooth call a UTG+1 short stack raise, and then call a 3 bet OOP with those holdings would be pretty ridiculous. AK and A2 are just as possible, but really the only hand that makes the most sense is 22, and he actually happened too have it. That's okay, because that won't happen often enough in the long run for you to worry about it. You'd have to be exceptionally good post flop and have such a clear read / understanding of your opponents to justify letting this go. Online I would probably never fold, live if I have the right reads and we're deep enough I would consider it but probably still not fold.

The question I always ask myself is, in a cash game, what would Villians range be here multiway? 99% of the time it’s a set. Since we block Aces and Kings, it has to be a set of twos. This was my thought, before I saw your hand reveal. If Villian is short, and we cover by a lot. Then that would affect the ranges here. But, there is no way a half way decent player is ever getting their money in with a worse Ace, or a draw here multiway with one player to act. Unless your read is they are a fish. But, your right. This is a very tough fold. I think 3 betting bigger Pre May have been the better play. Maybe 8.5 K would have gotten the other player to fold dueces.

Can't add too much more here. I would say that unless we have some kind of sick live read that our villain absolutely has 22 (or a slowplayed AA or KK, which seems super unlikely) that we have to go with it. This is just too high in our range on this board to fold.

QJdd JTdd etc are going to tank a little on that action and I think you’re saying V2 insta jammed over the top?

Very unusual situation, but the best you can hope for here is a conservative but reasonably played AK chop

I hate it but can fold against two shoves. Super rare spot having so many combos that can be excluded from V2 range, so I wouldn’t beat yourself up.
