There's nothing too much to change in your strategy other than to play aggressively and push your edges. They are similar to sit-n-goes or the final table of a big MTT. The difference is that there are no rewards for surviving to 4th, 3rd, 2nd place. So for example, if you get 3-handed and are tied for the CL with one player being shortstacked, in an MTT or SNG you need to be cautious about playing a huge pot with the other big stack. In the first table of a shootout you can play normally vs him, since busting 3rd doesn't matter. You need to get all the chips eventually.
