I've been struggling lately with how long i should wait to ship it AI when down to 3 tables & short stacked. I seem to be busting a lot these days just shy of the FT, or I make the FT very low on chips & struggle to recover. My latest bust out happened yesterday on stars in the $16.50 Turbo. First paid around $5k. I had 2 hands I felt I played wrong & would appreciate input.
Hand 1: 55 in early position. 27/39. Blinds are 500/1000. Stack is around $65k.
I 2.11 bet, button shoves. Bb calls. I fold.
- I felt I made the correct fold, even though I would have rivered a flush. I'm wondering if shoving in that position would be more appropriate, rather than a small raise.
Hand 2: 33. Early utg + 2. 22/23. $59k stack. 1400/700 & 850 ante. I open shove, same guy on button shoves OTT
I was praying he had an ace, although in the end it didn't matter. He had 55 & triple my stack. Board ran out as bad as possible. 101055Q.
Thoughts? I always wonder when I should ship it in these situations. I would wonder the same thing even if I had won the pot. Is it worth waiting until I am I position & hope for a stronger hand?
Please make your hand histories more coherent. I have no idea what happened in each hand. What are opponents stacks, what actions happen and on what streets?
If they are recorded into your software hand histories, you can copy and paste or use a hand converter.
This will make sure you get relevant and accurate feedback to your play so there is no confusion.
