It was obvious that he had better set than me I just could not fold it here I did not trust my read , I am asking the better players with more exp Is this a standard fold the way this hand was played ? Thanks

This is very standard, you flopped a set and your opponent so happened to have a better one, that's just plain unlucky. Won't happen often enough even if you play full time to make you want to fold a set, the only other hands that beat you are a straight or higher set, and unless you have a read on this player that he's tight as a rock I don't think you can give it up, at least I couldn't. You also should have gone all in by the turn, if your opponent as only 2 pair or a 1 pair hand you could lose action from a bad river card, as well as make your decision harder if he puts pressure back on you and there's 4 cards for a straight on the board.
