Guys, is there any chance of persuading yourserf to fold the second nuts, if you are the short stack?

MTT, $100 buy-in, mid stage (after rebuys perioud is over).
The field is very loose (cause it's Purim, and stuff).

1K/2K, seven-handed, Hero is on the BB with Q7, ~17BB.
Everybody limps in, Hero checks. Pot: 16K.
Flop:
A 4 8, everybody checks to CO who raises 6K. Everybody folds, Hero calls with a flush draw.

Pot 28K
Turn:
3. Hero checks, CO raises to 16K, which is effectively our full stack.

Villain's stack is about 120K and he's decently loose. So his raise could have meant anything from hitting a set to a weaker flush, so Hero decided to push, and got called by the higher flush.

Is there any chance of folding second nuts in this situation?

Nope. But I saw a couple of times pros (WSOP, if I remember right) folding the second nuts in similar situations.

Anyone like open shove flop? It's an overbet, but we may get some folds from weak aces, and we have good equity if called.

Why would we want to get away from this??? We have the second nuts with 17BB???? This could be a gazillion hands he's value betting because he thinks he's ahead and WE HAVE THE SECOND NUTS.

I can almost guarantee none of these were this short, and part of being a pro is having an outstanding read.

If you are calling with Qh7h on a multi-way flop and hit your flush only to fold, then why in the world would you call flop in the first place? I don't mind c/r jam here to be honest, if we have 35% vs. villain's likely calling range we don't have to get many folds at all for this to be +EV and at this stack-to-pot-ratio we probably want to getting a lot of our two pairs, sets and best Ax in anyway.

And while there might be times to fold the second nuts, a half-pot shove nowhere near the money in a $100 MTT is not one of them.

Also, if there is ever a "right" time to fold the second nuts, having a Q high with an A on the board is different than having a K high with no ace.

Here, what can he have KhJh, KhTh, and maybe Kh9h are the more realistic possibilities unless this is just an awful wahle who plays all of the suited broadway hands.

But if you have the K high and the board is Qh, 4h, 8d, 3h instead, he can realistically have A2s, A5s, A6s, A8s and A9s. (AT+ usually raises pre). Here there are more possibilities that they can have the nuts than when the Ah is on the board.
