I have a question about these pushing ranges I came across in a publication. They are for MTT play and you’re still far from the money.
10 BB
UTG 88+ 66 ATs+ A5s-A3s AQo+ KTs+ QTs+
UTG+1 88+ 66 A9s+ A5s-A4s AQo+ KTs+ QTs+ JTs
Same ranges pretty much with 9BB in UTG and UTG+1 position. I’m confused why it would say it’s ok to push with 88’s or better, than with 66’s, but not with 77’s?
Could this just be a typo with the 66’s?
The other assumption would be that people won't be calling your all-in with 22-77 and A2s-A7s so there is no real difference between 66 and 77 except for the 2345 donkey thing.
I think that these are fair assumptions. A lot of people will be calling or protecting with with ATs+/AJ+/88+ or 99+.
if u use a software tool and create a calling range and put 66 and 77 in there, youll see youve got more equity with 77. i could be wrong tho vs certain calling ranges so i dont know 100%
id suggest finding multiple push charts, do some comparing and go from there.
