prebubble 100$

345/1600 money 370 left. Probably we have to lag one orbit to reach the money

UTG+1 opens, we have AKo MP3 position. We have 20BB. UTG+1 has 40BB, no reads

Is shove ok? Maybe even call is better because we dont want to make flips.
What we are doing AQ,or AQs in that position? AJ is fold probably.
88-TT?JJ?

Re: prebubble 100$

Knowing nothing about UTG+1 its a tough spot.

Shoving is certainly OK and I would do it if I thought villain had a decent range. We should have some fold equity. Hands like 77-99 will definitely fold. Maybe even TT. AQ/AJ are likely to fold as well. And the good news is that we won't have a tough flop decision were we to just call and miss.

I have stopped shoving with AQs/AQ when UTG or UTG+1 opens pre-flop. Too often I was getting called by AK. And any call really has me behind. I do call mostly.

What did UTG+1 open to? 2 big blinds, 2.5, 4?

2 big blind open, can pop it to 8 bigs then shove any flop. Gives you two chances too win.

Of course, if they three bet you, you would be committed.

If they opened 3x or more it really is shove time.

I always 3-bet jam this spot. Don't see much merit in anything else.

Nasty spot with those type hands and why i must get ICMizer or something similar.
I would shove AK,TT-JJ-QQ- fold 88- flat 99/AQs/AQ and pray for no squeezing.
Probably totally wrong!
