I think that I called these 2 bets because V represents overpair 99-JJ(he would prob 3-bet QQ+, AJ+ pre), but why didn't he bet otf then? So, it could be Ace high or broadway and/or busted fd..we beat a lot of these hands.

Any comments on this? Should we bet OTF?

There are no FDs for him to have busted. He could easily check flop with a set looking to x/raise or x/call a hand like 9x/6x

He probably has some weak holdings when he probes turn, but he could also have a boat or 9x. If we were heads-up I wouldn't mind peeling one, but with 3 players in the hand and one left to act, I just fold turn. River is a clear fold. 9x is firmly in his range and not yours.

3b sizing seems small, but we’re otb so I guess it’s w/e.. would prefer 7-8 bb and have some steals in our range

Flop is dry enough to bet and our smallish sizing pre makes this a good spot to stab

Calling turn is pretty hopeful, never calling here. 99-JJ certainly still in v’s range imo even w/o donkng flop. Check is still natural for these hands otf

I can’t comment credibly on river because I never get there. Barring the action it’s one of the better rivers we can hope for other than hitting, though

Sorry, I mean busted oesd, like 87s, 75s, or even 53s(which he really had)
But yeah, I can see now that it was pretty optimistic calling.

dont see a reason why villain shouldn’t be able to vbet 77+ in which case calling AK there for two streets is somewhat optimistic.

Good one It was PKO and I am under impression that it's very common playing style in this type of tournaments...
I made multiple calls like this in the beginning of tournament(here is another one) and it allowed to gather a huge stack and end up ITM...

It is, but it can really get out of hand at some tables. Early stages there's no need to be calling as wide as people do as the KO is simply not big enough.
