what about checking flop? i mean this flop hits really hard the BB range.

Why you fold otr ? wich hands you put him ?

You said he's loose passive so you know what people will advise you to do on the river.

I'm OK with flop bet vs. two Vs but definitely checking turn heads-up vs. a passive V in the BB on that board. It's obviously early in the tournament still, and we have a middle pair. No need to dust off half your stack unnecessarily.

As played? Yeah, standard fold vs. loose/passive. You know better.
