Big 11.Blinds 800-1600, I open Cutoff with 25bb, big blind defends he has 44bb
Flop 8h2h4s, I have KhQs. I bet 4k into 9250. He calls. Turn 2c.Goes check check.River 7h he checks and I go all in 30k into 17k.I think he was capped,b/c he leads river with a 2 and a strong 8. I have the Kh and I check back some overpairs too on that turn and if he doesn't lead river , I value bet. What do you think?

Fine in vacuum
But generally you should have quite weak range otr as well so restricting your OB bluff options to NF blockers, 6h,5h at least seems better given low value freq.
Kh appears to be quite useless blocker for overbet purposes but I might be wrong

In the current meta I still think most players see a cbet followed by a turn check to be weakness.

It's generally recommend to cbet and then check turn with an overpair because it allows you to more easily get a 2nd street of value on the river from a non-believing V, and it also may even induce them to lead the river where they now think THEY are betting for value.

In other words, against an average V, I think you're going to find them calling this more often with a decent pair than not. I don't find this bluff to work too often in softer tournament fields with buy-ins under $200.

I think most players would not over bet shove if they had it here. I would have sized it smaller half to 3/4 pot. If I'm villain I'm snapping with an 8 here and probably worse then that.

I usually try not to punt my stack off if it's for my tournament life on a bluff. I understand that this could possibly be a good spot to do it, but as previous posted said having the K is not quite the best blocker to have on this board. What is your image here? And how has villain be playing? This matters in this spot because if you have a loose image and a tendency to bluff, villain will probably hero call with a marginal hand. Also how has villain been playing. Have you seen them check back often with good hands?

How much was his donk on the river? I think it was a stopper bet with an 8. Shoving is not a bad move at all I think

You only rep a flush here which doesn't make a whole of sense since you would want to get called and not scare your opponent with a big bet, because the way he's played the hand he hasn't shown any strength. If he's a thinking player he will probably deduce the fact that if you really made your flush on the river you wouldn't bet that much, and look to get value. So to your opponent it's basically only a flush or nothing, and when you're hand is polarized getting a bluff through can be pretty difficult.

I think this is a faulty assumption. Some players would check all strong hands, including flushes and boats, because they put you on a hand like two overs and think the only way they get more money is to induce a river bluff. Betting a hand like A8 on the river is unlikely unless he is a bad player.

On the other hand, some players might check-fold a flush because they think only a full house (or quads) would overbet like that.
