Last level of day 2 I get moved to this crazy table.
Every single hand is a 3bet, most of them did their job preflop.
Nothing too out of line post but I haven’t been at the table for long enough to have reads on everybody.

We are at 1000/2000/2000 and I have now 90k.

Dude opens from mid to 4500. He is very active, opens a lot and he just double up opening K9s UtG and caking a 3bet OOP to crack aces.

He covers, 170k.

I have AhQh and I am in the BB. Folded to me, I call.

Flop Qc8h9s

I check, he makes 4000, I call.

Turn: A

I check, he makes 8500, hero?

Any comments on previous action?

Looks good so far. His sizing seems reasonable, and I just snap any reasonable river sizing off. Did ace bring a flush draw? I prefer to let a wildcard like this keep firing rather than play a guessing game for stacks if we x/r

3bet pre with a great suited hand
Rarely peeling pre to c/r this turn situation is fine too
You destroy his wide range and block nutted hands which could use this turn sizing.

Pretty sure pre is a mix from BB vs this sizing. Prob pure 3betting if we're IP though and/or not closing the action. Prob pure 3betting if he goes closer to 2.5x+ pre.

For sure x/r flop. You have an extremely wide range (and to be fair so does your opponent) but you're also somewhat capped, although compared to relative range widths being capped doesn't matter nearly as much in this spot with respect to who has the range advantage--you're probably peeling close to 85% of hands pre, your range is so massively wide that V has a huge RA such that he's gonna be attacking you with cbets almost always.

Thus we should be looking to x/r extremely wide to attack V's extremely wide cbet range. J7s, T7s (really lots of TXs and JXs), 65s all are happy to x/r here at least once in a while, thus we need to be willing to throw our top-of-range hands into our x/r range. This hand being probably 95th percentile of our range is a must x/r.

AP x/r the turn. Pretty sure this is an auto barrel with most if not all of V's range because of how much more Ax he has at this point compared to how much Ax you have, thus we should still be looking to x/r turn extremely wide thus we need to x/r this combo since it's so strong.

I get that you are letting him be aggro but you gotta stick in a raise somewhere. I think I 3! pre almost all of the time esp. at a loose table to get more chips in the middle with a top hand.

As played, I c/r top 2 here now.

Agree with this.

Think we should 3bet this pre sometimes also. I kinda like flatting here thought pre bc are are oop after flop. It’s also gross if Villian somehow finds a 4 bet and we have to lay this down pre. If we 3bet though, think we should go a tad bigger oop 14-18k. I kinda dislike 3b however bc we let Villian fold out most of his range we crush. As played think I call turn and I’m calling almost all rivers. If Villian is super laggy, he could value bet a worse hand on river and also fire another barrel.

Line seems like Villian is firing air on flop and betting A on turn that is a potential scary card to your Qx. Maybe leading river to look like a blocker bet is good but yea not sure about that. It’s kinda gross if Villian finds a check back on river with worse hand.

Given stack, and what we can do if we wait, 3 bet is rough if called and miss.

Tournaments are not about the one hand that you have, but how many big blinds you have.

I would only three bet here if I felt my opponent was a superior after the flop player.

Happy to play some small ball against players worse or on par with me after the flop.

But, if you are scared of them, define their hand with a three bet.

At least when they four bet you, you don't get stacked. Haha.
