I played in the Venetian $340 event yesterday and didn't see my first pocket pair until 10 minutes were left in level 6. With 40 minute levels and assuming 2 minute per hand, the odds of going that long are about 1000:1.
It was super hard on the patience and I bombed out on an aggressive play in level 8. Called a raise with a3hh and jammed a jack high flop with two hearts. Villain's KK held.
