$300 Friday Tournament at Local Casino.

Blinds: $2K/$1K/$2K BB Ante 9-Handed.

I am in the BB with 97cc. I have ~45K after posting blinds/antes for an M of ~9.

UTG+1 has huge stack and covers me calls. Hands are folded to me.

Pot: 7K
Flop: 9h4s2d

I check. Villian bets 4K and I push all-in.

its a little much. eliminates the possibility of villain continuing with worse.

a c/r to 12-13k still gets folds from overcards and maybe you get a peel from an A3,A5 type of hand or a worse pair.

Any history on what range V is limping from early position ?

If V has
overpair you’re 20% to improve
55-88 you’re in great shape
Set or better 9x you’re dead
Two overcards - he’s 12% to hit turn
One over card - he’s 6% to hit turn
Overcard plus gutshot - 14% to hit turn

With such a low dry flop v aggressive big stack, I don’t mind going for broke here. But if you decide to go for broke, cc cc likely to be far more profitable than cjam imho. I’d at least see a turn.

Sorry no reads on villain. Just got to the table after mine broke. Villain is a young kid possibly from the local engineering school.

I am always suspicious of calls of from early position by big stacks so I believe his range includes AA/KK/QQ at least a portion of the time. Having said that, I believe his range would also include small to medium pairs, low to mid suited aces, and low suited broadways. You might also include small to medium suited connectors and one-gappers.

If his range is only all pairs, I'm a 47/53 dog at this point. Remove all AA/KK, it flips. Remove all QQs, I'm about 58/42 favorite.

I just bought Brokos a couple of months ago, and this hand is great example of the "Clairvoyance Game" (oop with a medium-strength hand) but hot-damn, I always seem to get burned even if I cc all the way down.

If villain calls, am I ever folding at that point?

I think that’s an exceptional assessment of EP live limp range, wd op
