Horrible turn check/raise... he folds everything you beat to that raise except mega strong draws. Just keep betting. I guess as played call and pack your bag.

Another vote for a horrible turn play. Who do you think has the range advantage on that board?

generally he does but here was my thinking

Flop, given how coordinated board is and chip depth I felt it is highly likely i will get raised if I'm behind. his call to me is a draw he wishes to not raise, a pocket pair or 1p hand that he thinks has some equity, and hands he wishes to float with

turn, essentially a brick, if my flop assessment is correct then I'm hopefully ahead of what i perceive his range to be (draw heavy and float heavy now) and I choose to cr to get chips in / attack his float

Re: kk first hand $82ko

If you were IP the c/r OTT would make more sense, but you are playing this hand OOP and I'm not liking the c/r. I'd go bet, bet, bet, or as someone mentioned x/c turn and c/decide river/

I don't really get the hate for turn. You both have all sets, but OP is more likely to have 65s and 44 and the overpairs that MP3 can't have.

Jam seems a bit better when you have KsKx and x/c looks reasonable when you don't.

Re: kk first hand $82ko

Kinda interesting line, I see reasons for it ott vs. V's sizing, but still wouldn't do it personally. I play X/X/X line here usually, think B/X/X is also ok.

Not totally convinced we have to call it off here, how many bluffs are we expecting to see in a spot where Hero's range is either an overpair or J high/T high? If I'm V I would probably just xb AXss figuring I'm either ahead or Hero isn't folding his overpair. J9ss T9ss are the only hands he might get here with that are definitely river bluffs imo.

Yeah, I don't mind turn either. I'd rather just lead large on turn than c/r but the logic behind it is fine.

Re: kk first hand $82ko

I’m never folding this river. I’m not sure why other posters don’t like the turn. It doesn’t improve your opponents range. If he has 5/6, the 3 doesn’t improve. He still would have the straight. The river isn’t terrible either, because now you beat 7/8. Your opponent is very polarized here. It’s 7’s, 8’s, 5/6, 7/8, busted draw. It seems more likely it’s a busted draw though.

Call River

Lol, I swear I typed the above before you replied with the results.

Re: kk first hand $82ko

What I don't get is why villain didn't just shove the turn. If he hits on the river he'll have a hard time getting more value, and if he misses he'll be in a bluff-shove or lose predicament. If he's going to lead and call a x/r, why not just shove it in?
