It's level 2 in the tournament. We are still pretty deep stacked.
We have 160 BB, Villain has 290BB. The villain has +2M in tournament winnings on GG Poker. Not sure if they have any notes on me.

Preflop: Hero has 99
Hero raises to 2.5BB, Villain calls OTB calls, BB calls,

Flop: 7 4 3
Hero bets 3.7BB, Villain calls, BB folds,

Turn: Q
Hero bets 10.5BB, Villain calls,

River: K
Hero checks, Villain bets 20BB, hero?

I am not sure what to do here. Do I bet the river small? Do I call and hope he is bluffing with a hand like 76/75? I don't really see how that King could have helped him unless they peeled KQ on the flop. But I don't think I am suppose to bet here.

I think I would check/call the turn. We’re not getting 3 streets of value anyway from a hand like 76 or 88, and he has 56 and all sets in his range (besides QQ) so I don’t really want to bloat the pot.

I’ve been thinking about my post, and I’m not too sure I agree (with myself lol).

Some hands he’d have that we beat, like A5hh, A2hh, etc we don’t want to a) give a free card to, or b) allow them to bluff us off our hand, as I imagine those hands would both bet turn and river if you checked it to them. Depending on the player, they might check turn to realize their equity, but I think strong players will seize the initiative from you. So, whether you bet or check the turn might be player dependent.

You might want to size up your turn bet a bit.

I dunno, I’ll be interested in what others have to say.
