Not really a useful hand per se since it won't really impact your winrate in the long run due to how rare this spot comes up but lets do it for the lulz anyway

PokerStars - 100/200 Ante 20 NL - Holdem - 9 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

MP: 124.6 BB (VPIP: 25.00, PFR: 18.75, 3Bet Preflop: 8.33, Hands: 54)
MP+1: 124.1 BB (VPIP: 19.73, PFR: 16.49, 3Bet Preflop: 11.40, Hands: 298)
MP+2: 127.52 BB (VPIP: 18.60, PFR: 13.70, 3Bet Preflop: 9.52, Hands: 86)
CO: 127.57 BB (VPIP: 24.00, PFR: 20.00, 3Bet Preflop: 10.20, Hands: 155)
BTN: 123.1 BB (VPIP: 22.98, PFR: 14.94, 3Bet Preflop: 8.93, Hands: 248)
SB: 126.67 BB (VPIP: 21.03, PFR: 12.89, 3Bet Preflop: 3.96, Hands: 234)
BB: 124.6 BB (VPIP: 16.73, PFR: 13.53, 3Bet Preflop: 8.00, Hands: 283)
UTG: 122.22 BB (VPIP: 14.68, PFR: 11.21, 3Bet Preflop: 7.89, Hands: 111)
Hero (UTG+1): 124.6 BB

9 players post ante of 0.1 BB, SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 2.4 BB) Hero has 2 2

UTG calls 1 BB, Hero calls 1 BB, MP calls 1 BB, fold, fold, CO calls 1 BB, fold, SB calls 0.5 BB, BB checks

Flop: (6.9 BB, 6 players) 2 6 Q
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets 3.5 BB, MP raises to 11 BB, fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero calls 7.5 BB

Turn: (28.9 BB, 2 players) T
Hero checks, MP bets 16 BB, Hero calls 16 BB

River: (60.9 BB, 2 players) T
Hero checks, MP bets 96.5 BB and is all-in, Hero ?

No reads since this is just the 5th hand in.

It's prob not a good idea to be in the business of folding boats but if there was a spot to do it this would be it. I was 95% certain he had 66 by the action on the river...

Spoiler:
Of course he did

yeah stupid spot.
I don't think his sizing OTR makes much sense, Hero's range is mostly mediocre Qx, so why does he want to bet so big?
Unless he somehow has a really solid read that you mostly just overlimp low pp's there pre.

I'm just wondering...limp with such a large stack? What's the idea behind it? I understand that if you are about to mine a set, the stack size matters and with medium stacks like 22-25BB it's probably OK to limp for set mining, but with 100BB why don't just raise?

I don’t think stack size matters as much (unless you’re short and not getting correct odds) when trying to set mine. The idea is to try to see a flop as cheaply as possible with these small pairs to try and hit a set and stack someone.

seeing the flop as cheaply as possible with 100BB stack by limping and allowing blinds to see the flop sounds lol.

I usually don't like open limping but there is already a limper in front of him. in 2010, I would say absolutely raise, but in 2018, I would say a limp behind is ok. Also, if you raise and then get re-raise its a tougher spot. Put in 10 - 12 BB preflop and fold if we miss?

In regards to the OP, this hand is a call. There are very few spots that you can fold a set IMO and this isn't one of them. There are a lot of other things that missed. There are potential worse hands that the villain can have. AdTd, KdTd, JdTd, Td9d and be shoving the river for value.

QQ is unlikely, so you are basically worried about QT or 66, maybe T6 (unlikely). Then put in all the other combos and missed draws and even some spazzy stuff like mid pocket pairs and this is a snap call.

In low to midstakes - agree... except this is the 500 PKO so there aren’t really a lot of people who spazz off like this very early this deep without the nuts or very close to it.

I don’t think he should limp 66 in MP as much as you should not limp 22 UTG+1.
So, after that is just a matter of who played worse, and you won!
