I satellited into a live £1k+100 tournament and have never really played a live tournament before. My highest buy-in previously has been around $100 online only once. Was making a thread to ask for any advice in regards of playing a 1k and also for any tips on live tournament strategy as opposed to online. Also, how much consideration should I take into account for live tells be it to hide them or take notice of them from others.
Thanks in advance 2+2

Compared to online, large, live MTTs are extremely exhausting. Constantly remembering to ante, calculating proper bet/raise sizing (no "bet 3/4 pot button"), watching the action closely so you don't miss something important (like the action being on you!), figuring out pot size, V stack sizes ect.... After day 1 you will feel like you just got off a 12hr merry-go-round ride. My advice would be to get good sleep the night b4, eat healthy and lite, bring some Tylenol, and
take your time every single hand. Don't tank, but don't just snap any decision. The quality of play, even in this size BI, will not be as consistently solid like it is online.
Live tells can help tip the scales in a close decision, but it's not usually a deciding factor. Listen to what they are saying with their chips.
Outside of that, just play solid tourney poker.
