Villian in past hands was flatting my pre-flop raises especially a few times on BB. I was thinking I should have preflop shoved in this situation. Thoughts?

pretty standard except for the river call. you are only beating bluffs at that point so it might be player dependant but I think river is mostly à fold. btw, there s no argument for an open shove pre w/ +40bb vs bb that covers you. way too high variance imho and icm wise it d ne just bad

Thanks! I only called river because I saw him bluffing 3 separate hands prior on all 3 streets. One of which he had Q4o and I won a big pot off him. But I understand what you are saying.

Don't post results.

Muck the river. He's saying he's got tptk beat and it's an uncommon bluff spot given final table dynamics.

Anyone wanna check the flop? This is a gross ICM flop and we haven't exactly flopped a monster.

Why only 2x raise pre-flop? Is there no ante? Not sure if villain would defend BB against 3x raise. Giving BB such good odds to call is a recipe for this kind of spot.

checking flop also entices bluffs, and it’s classic WAWB spot where we don’t have to fear overcards hitting

Feast or famine. Min raise didn't work out so next time I shove!

ch flop, we don't have many bad cards, maybe Q
turn, river standard call and we don't lose much
Second thing what if he ch raise flop, we are quite a bad spot then

As played-pattern ch call and lead turn. Its typical way to hide your strength. Its not typical bluff

Think betting flop is fine, maybe need to bet bigger, villain is going to have lots of Jx here for sure in BB but also has bunches of worse pairs (including worse Kx), spade draws, Q9/QT/T9/AT type hands that all will call at least one street. If we get c/r on flop it kind of sucks but we have all of our air and and low-equity draw/bad pairs to fold first so we can at least call flop/decide turn. I think if I'm going to check back some Kx on this board it'll be Kx with a spade in my hand.

As played fold river, as we should have some flushes, Jx and even AsKx/KxQs that we can call with ahead of AK with no flush blockers.
