Final 6: payouts 15K/9K/6K/5k/4k/3k

Blinds 20K/40K BB Ante 20K

Stacks:
SB: 500k
BB: 1.6 M
UTG: 1.4M
UTG+1: 800K
CO: 1.7M
Hero B: 700K

UTG has been the most aggressive pre-flop and raises 3x to 120K
Fold to hero on the button with 18 BB and AJs. Is this a call in position or a shove?

How agressive si "the most agressive" ? If he's playing 60/50 with the same range in every position then it's an easy shove. If not it's a close spot but I think flat is the worst option with those stacks and the ICM stuff. Also if he has different PF sizings and 3x is the bigger one then it's probably a tell of strenght.

This is a live tournament so I can't give exact stats. We started with 259 players. On the final table, he opened about 30% of the pots. His typical open was 3x, the same as this open. He got through a large number of opens, so I couldn't tell how often he was light but he did loose to post flop bets a number of times.

The next question is does he open frequently from any position or only in late positions. If it is the first, it is an easy shove. If he tends to be more serious in his opens in early positions., I'd rather just call and see a flop. AJs flops very well and would be the top of my range.

He raised from all positions outside of the blinds.

Shove. Don't let BB get a good price to call and keep SB from shoving any small pair. We have good fold equity despite being 5th in chips and we're ahead of loose villain's range so getting a call here is fine. Double up through this villain and we're at 1.5M and basically even with chip leaders. Villain folds here 90% including all AQ. Happy to take the shot.

Yeah well within our jamming range 6handed - not really any crazy ICM stuff happening

In the moment I'd probably be shoving this over a guy who is likely over raising and hopefully over calling. picking up the 5.5 bb in the middle is a great outcome for our stack.

With sb being the only stack you cover, putting out some "dead money" could bait him into a shove with worse. there are obvious cons to this play but 15bb at this table is serviceable, and guarantees you can live to see another hand.
