Hero is 8 of 8. (24bb)
7 through 3 had ~35bb
2 had ~42bb and 1 had 60+bb.

Payouts are something like:
8th - 550
7th - 725
6th - 1.05
5th - 1.3
4th - 1.7
3rd - 2.2
2nd - 2.9
1st - 4.9

Action:
Folds to C/o who min opens. (34vpip, 40rfi, 37bb over 200+hands)
Button calls (2nd place, 42bb)
Sb calls (1st, 60+bb, played with him since 3 tables left, very speculative and Lag type)
Hero has AJos in bb. (Running 24vpip, 9%3b, 2% squeeze from bb over 400hands || has also only played 4 of 42 FT hands)

This was my thinking pre flop:

Folding is the worst/not an option.
Should I just complete and see a flop?
AJos is strong here, but plays terribly 4 way.
The button/sb can't be super strong when they flat with 50+bb unless they are skilled enough to try and trap specifically me in the bb thinking I'd squeeze light, and the c/o is running some pretty high numbers. He has ready folded to a light 3bet 3 of his 4 FT opens. Besides, am I looking to maybe make another pay jump or two or am I trying to win?

Should I 3bet to say 14bb/~60% of my stack, and fold to a jam by the c/o and button and call if the sb rejams? There is just no way the sb/chip leader is flatting oop with a stronger hand than AJos, so at worst I'm flipping if he just calls. But 3betting more than half my stack may not get through as im giving odds to everyone to just call in position... 3bet has to be terrible here.

I guess my only option is to jam 24bb into the aggro open in the c/o and 2 huge stack limps in the button/sb. I still have fold equity considering if I win an all in I'm essentially chip leader. I may be dominated by the C/o, but he seems to be opening pretty wide. The button may have trapped me, but his sharkscope says he is a losing player (-2k over 45 tournaments), so I don't think he is strong here. And at worst, I am flipping vs the sb if he somehow calls with 22-77. (He is probably squeezing 88+)

Thoughts?

Jamming every time here over wide CO opener.

In general I am 3-bet jamming with <25 BB's. This is an ideal spot for it. Completing is just asking for trouble 4-ways OOP and a 3-bet puts us in a big pot OOP when called.

Having said this, I will also confess to losing with AJ in this type of situation on occasion because when CO wakes up with AQ+/JJ+ they are never folding and we are usually losing and 88-TT are flips that are slightly against us.

But I am going down swinging. Picking up 8+ BB's will increase our stack by over 30% without seeing a flop at least half the time. And if we do get it all in, at least doubling up if we win should propel us far into the tourney.

3bet folding 60% of your stack on 24 bb is a disaster, just rip in ! heckin' bork! for all the doggos out there. You at the bottom of ICM ladder and when u rip u put the ICM decision on them - their calling ranges will have to be tighter in order to properly call u $EV.

Thank you for confirming my play.

End result:

Jammed. Folded to sb. He called w/66, which I think is a correct call by him, but may be borderline.

Didn't win this flip.

Still, happy everyone confirmed my thinking. Good luck to you all.
