Deep vs shallow stack - strategy adjustments

Hey guys, I'm a midstakes MTT grinder with very bad winrates at stack depth <60bb:
The thing is, I have really no idea what to do differently between these depths apart opening and defending vs 3bets with slightly different ranges.
My stats are very similar at 20-60bb and 60+, yet the winrates vary drastically. I really don't know where to look for leaks, especially given that a buddy with better shortstack winrates showed me some of his stats at shorter stack depths and they look very similar to mine (except he has higher AF and AFq).
I already know that my 3bet is too low but look, it doesn't make my 60+bb winrate collapse. So it's probably not crucial. Idk what to do, might need to take some coaching since it seems like nobody can point out any fundamental adjustments I should make (if there are any, cuz these results might just come from accumulation of many different spots where I play suboptimally).
