$11 $500 gtd

tables actually pretty reg heavy I realize.

stacks are
ep: 20bb
ep1: 25bb
mp: 60bb
hero: 39bb QsJc
btn reg: 25bb
sb reg: 26bb
bb reg sitting out: 44bb

I think in spots like this it may be best to work in some unorthodox things because if I raise a wide range here, I'm likely to be exploited heavily since the big blind is sitting out. It makes no sense to openly throw chips into a potentially heavy profit spot for the btn or sb. this is in the top like 40% of an opening range, so raise/folding it would hurt too much...or raising and cbet/folding..i think it's easy to punish me here when the bb is gone. now that i've hammered that in...

my plan is to limp/shove over a raise from either players, as I think they'll iso me (an unknown) with like 20% just expecting me to be a fish limp/fold or limp/call ck/fold ya know?

hero limps 1bb, sb raises to 3bb, hero ?

does this sound like a good set of outside thinking or should i raise and play postflop or play tighter here? this situation isn't very common, but it happened. i'm 1 tabling and looked up the two villains as i was waiting for action to fold to me because i thought right away this would be a spot worth examining.

Is interestinging enough of a concept to discuss imo that'll I'll just leave it and see if others think so too.

That said, I'd like limping a little more if button and sb we're little bit shorter. Still have some room at 25bb and 26bb to see flats or non all in 3b that we can jam against sometimes and flat other times vs smaller sizings.

As played, I think limp shoving vs a button open would be ok and more optimal the larger villains sizing is, flatting being decent option lot of times too. Vs sb, though, I'd prefer just calling since we're gonna see more of a strong raising range that we won't have too much fe against. I realize it can potentially be wider with bb sitting out but would wanna have some reads suggesting this a little more.

thanks for leaving it!

I agree that the larger the raise size, the better our shove as we're likely to be against a typically wide range.

I'm torn on how I feel about the small blind, but Im wondering if I'm simply projecting my own play on him because he's a winning reg. At this stack size, I would typically attack an unknowns limp here from the sb with a wide range, whether or not the bb was dead, because I'm expecting the unknown player to call and fold the flop an exploitable amount to a 1/3-1/2 sized bet (not on all flops, but overall i believe an unknown limp call here will just fold too often). I will have a range advantage overall, will be oop, but most of the equity will be made vs an unknown limp in a small stakes tourney, at this size, on the flop. Now back to this spot. If I'm in my spot against the sb's say 20% for starters, a call getting 3 to 1 and in position with a low spr seems like a good opportunity as well. But any time I can eliminate a lot of the luck involved, even if in exchange for a lower EV overall, it might be better? Idk. Thanks for the response.
