Calling ATo after UTG raise? Calling ATo after UTG raise?

£100 buy in live tournament.
Blinds 400/800/100.
10 handed
Villian (~60,000) UTG raises to 2000
Hero (~130,000) UTG+2 calls ATo
Another 4 calls behind.

Flop K74r
Checks to button who bets just over half pot.
UTG calls
Hero and everyone else folds.

I wasn't sure what to do with AT pre flop, it seems too strong to fold or 3-bet bluff but too weak to 3-bet for value?
Post flop I don't think there's anything to do but check fold with so many players in the pot.
The tournament was pretty fishy and UTG was limping a lot and was a bit of a calling station post flop so I thought he must be pretty strong if he raised.
I was a fairly big chip leader at this point so maybe I should be getting aggressive in these spots? Or just let it go given the read I have on him?

Thanks for any advice

P.S. UTG ended up showing down AK.

AT UTG+2 after an UTG raise is a turbo muck playing 10 handed. It's not strong enough to call a raise and it sucks when someone behind you 3 bets. If you see a weak limper then I like a raise.

If it folds to you in UTG+2 it should be near the bottom of your raising range. I don't mind just mucking it from UTG+2.

I might call ATs if stacks are deep and you think a 3 bet behind is unlikely.

All this. Even 9-handed I’m usually open folding ATo UTG or UTG+1 unless the table is super tight or really easy to play postflop. I’m definitely not calling an UTG raise and a 3b is way too ambitious. Fold >>>> 3b >>>>>>>>> Call

No brainer thread. Fold preflop. That call in that precise spot is 100% -EV in the long run.

Ps: note to H0rus, calling implies you may have taxes to pay. Folding doesnt.

Fold pre. Not that good of an hand vs early raisers and very vulnerable to 3b

Facing a raise from UTG, I'd be inclined to much ATo from almost any position, except probably the BB, and from UTG+1, it's just an auto fold.
