6 handed. still quite far away from money. We are aiming to win the mtt not just cash.

Button: Hero 65BB deep
SB: 12 BB Deep
BB: 46BB Deep

Folds around to us on the button.

We have J4

Hero?

SB Neatly stacks his chips. Also neatly dressed.
BB: Doesn't care how he stacks his chips.

BB has being playing tight and when he plays he usually comes in with a limp/call stagegy. SB plays quite tight as well and usually comes in with a raise. We have being playing quite loose and come in with a bet/raise.

Against described V's, raise 2.5 bbs and count your new chip stack (is it neat or messy? And I really do want to know why this matters). Fold to the rare face up 3!. If BB calls evaluate on flop.

I think I'd be min raising here. No reason to put in more when SB has a shove stack.

Are you suggesting OP should never deviate from his ranges based on reads?

Yes, you 'should' have a standard default play, but, to borrow a phrase...

If you aren't exploiting, you aren't trying...

It’s fine to exploit - but making random low confidence reads about simple Preflop scenarios isn’t really doing yourself any favors.
And the thing is about these exploitation strategies that ppl who don’t understand what the optimal play looks like, you can’t exploit effectively/or at all if you don’t even understand what you’re supposed to be doing in the first place.
But ok carry on gl sir

Given reads in a live tournament, I would probably open 85%, but this hand is an open without reads.
