Borgata 230 early spots

Hey all, I have a few quick odd poorly played spots I want feedback on.

Hand 1- no reads on table bc first few orbits. New guy just sat. I raise AsJs to 300 at 100-100 with effective stacks at 35k. Button calls and blinds fold. Flop J72 R. I Cbet 400, guy raises to 2.2k, I flat. Turn is a 4? Not sure the card but not bad. I check to pot control and he jams 26k which is super odd? I just sigh folded but would you ever call here?

Hand2- same guy and I’ve learned he is a lag blaster. I open As9s to 300 at same level and he 3 bets to 1100. All folds and I call (prolly bad but whatever). He checks 10-8-2 flop with 2 spades. I donk lead 1100, he raises to 3k and I pop it to 15k. He quickly flats and I just shove turn blind. He calls with 77 and 2 blanks pop up and we punt our stack? Is this terrible? I know 300bbs is a ton but I’m shocked he called my flop raise with 77. I was honestly super shocked I had tons of equity after showdown on turn. Hand 1, if we know he’s a blaster.... do we just get it in with aj there?

These hands are really odd for me and I’m never a fan of getting 300 bbs in so light early but I feel its awesome if we get a double that early. I can’t defend hand 2 but I feel most players sigh fold 77 so I can’t even really be mad at my hand but I guess against a perceived range my play is bad.

Re: Borgata 230 early spots

Also one more from 3rd bullet. I have 26.3k at 600-1200 (1200 bb ante). At a 9 handed table it folds to small blind when Iím in the big blind. He completes and I have AsJs. I think about it and feel hand is too strong to rip and we can find more value not ripping. Guy is a solid tourny reg I recognize. Meh I raise to 5k from bb and he flats on a 35-40k stack. Flop is 982. He open rips. I sigh call and state this is a punt.

Do I just rip 22 bbs in pre or as played itís solid? I know this is a fold when he open rips but I feel he can do this with two overs maybe. I call and he shows q9 and we bust. Thanks for thoughts? I know this is probably a fold sigh.

Can’t pile hand 1 unless you had the read.

Hand 2??? You know he’s a lag blaster and you lead? So you can GII? Why so big with the 3-bet? I don’t understand your line at all. Seems like you just got tilted and went crazy.

H1: Stick your tongue out at V and fold. Not getting it in with 1pr this early. Though if you're armed with multiple bullets and have the right read I can accept GII.

H2: Described action makes no sense. V checks and you donk, how's that possible? Shoving anything blind is absurd, even if you're literally blind. Don't be so shocked how things played out lol. Everything seems turrrrible. You tilted for sure.

H3: Sizing too big at 20bb eff. Make it 3bb and go from there. Jamming OK but we're still deep enough to eek out some extra EV postflop and it's a lot easier on V when we jam so let's just open and take it to the streets, but go smaller. Piling is fine AP if you think he donks straight draws, but blocking most of those think we fold

Hand 2.... I mean to say I was oop for hand and donk led the flop which is. It standard for me.i almost never donk lead flops. Sizing was big so I could set a stick it in on turn I guess which is probably bad. I know if I check to him 100%, he most likely jams turn I feel based on how he played the flop.

Hand one is ok, fold..

Hand two with 300bbs is a check/call on the flop and maybe on the turn as well. Seems like you made the hand a little personal.

Hand three is a fold against this opponent and not a sigh fold, a 'normal' fold with AJ and blocking some of his draw hands. Also against good players going all in pre can be a smart play.

Re: Borgata 230 early spots

I think in hand1 is bad to call villian raise... You don't have any reads on him yet... Your top pair top kicker is a nice hand but the pot is getting too big. I think you should fold and wait for a better spot..

Hand2 is all terrible as everybody said.. A9s is a bad hand to open OOP.

Hand3 I think is OK your preflop raise, but after the villian shove you should let the hand go.. Yes you want to see KQ or AT but if he has a pair you are only 25% favorite and if he has trips you are drawing dead... With that flop you can be drawing dead... Wait for a better spot to shove...

I didn’t state this but h2, we were maybe 5 max at 100-100. I think folding a9s here is terrible beyond belief when the muppets still have loads of chips. No doubt calling a 3B pre is questionable and donk leading a flop is also kinda meh no doubt.
