Is it a big mistake to bet big after the flop comes out if not at final table or in the money where ICM plays a bigger factor?

I like to semi bluff big for example in postion..
is it really wrong to bet pot rather than 3/4 pot ..

by pot, pot, pot line it makes Spr 13 and tricker to call down than a 3/4 line that raises about 10x the pot on flop compared to 13 as said by the pot, pot, pot bet line.

So would it be a big mistake to use bigger bet sizes then maybe smaller bet sizes once in money or where ICM plays a bigger role?

I guess in end its prob not ok .. as u want to balance between bet size and preserving chips right?

Like doug Polk .. he raises about 40% most flops rather than standard 60% or so on flop..
to get somewhat decent value but also to preseve chips right?
