do people generally use BB/100 or bb/100 when discussing mtt chip winrates? after a little googling around i feel that most people discussing the subject are confusing the two stats a bunch of the time. either way...

I found my winrate over the last 3 months to be 6.55BB/100, or 13.1bb/100 over 370k hands, completely unfiltered.

two questions:
are there any filtering tips people have so that i can make this stat more relevant/useful/accurate?

for MTTs $11-$109 (avg buyin $33~), how do these winrates hold up? my sample is relatively small i guess, around 3600 mtts with some MTTsng in there too.

thanks

obviously you need big_blinds/100, not big bets.

Guess your bb/100 in late stage indicates something about quality of your play but ROI is a better indicator in MTTs anyway.

It would be if you could ever get a reliable sample. bb/100 gives you a rough idea after 10k hands, ROI gives you a similarly rough idea after 10000 mtts. Of course it's technically possible to win lots of chips and punt a lot in ICM heavy spots, but bb/100 is the only indicator I know of where your sample size doesn't have to be so large that the first half of it has become irrelevant by the time you complete your sample.

weird, it was clearly just me getting confused then. back in the day i was sure that big bet (NLHE/PLO) cash players would use BB/100 even though it wouldnt make much sense to.

yeah ROI and bb/100 both have their drawbacks, and i guess in a way theyre measuring different indicators of how good you are.
